Dear Sharpay Supporters!
Sharpay development update: added email address verification, removed RenRen social network from direct sharing, fixed an error in merging Line accounts, fixed an error in updating system version, etc.
Even though we released different new functions not so long ago, we do not stop developing and improving our system. There are some changes and improvements we made.
1) Added email address verification. Now, every user needs to confirm his email address (by email or social network) after registration. If he has not confirmed his email address, he will get a message when he logs into Sharpay and he will not be able to use his account. We added the email address verification to prevent botnet and fake accounts.
In creating the email verification, we considered three different proposals and we finally picked the following. If a user registers an account by email, our system will display a message with a request to confirm his email address. System will show a link for resending confirmation email once a day. When the user logs in through his social network which uses the same email address, our system will confirm the email address automatically.
2) Removed Chinese social network RenRen from direct sharing. The popularity of RenRen has dropped significantly over the past few years, also it did not give much technical support to our Sharpay development. We have therefore deactivated and removed RenRen social network from our sharing buttons, and focus on WeChat and Weibo in the China market.
3) Fixed an error in merging Line accounts. If a user used Line to log into his account and that Line account was already connected to other Sharpay account, an error would occur and he could not log into his Sharpay account. We found the error and fixed the account merging function.
4) Fixed an error in updating system version. There was an error when updating our system version, the software failed to complete the update and remained in the update status. We had to urgently deploy a duplicate instance to restore the normal operation of our system.
5) Fixed User Guide for small screen sizes. After we released the new User Guide feature, we discovered that it would not display correctly in small screen sizes. The animation and description would slightly shift. We fixed the spacing and style values for all screen sizes.
6) Disabled the request of number of friends on Facebook. Due to the removal of Facebook access to users’ friends, we have disabled the request of getting such data when users authorize and connect their Facebook accounts to Sharpay.
7) Created internal notification of incoming transactions. We created internal notification in our Admin panel for incoming transactions. The transactions are buying, depositing, withdrawing transactions.

Dear Community!
Sharpay development update: studied TON blockchain and Binance Chain for integration, improved Google Analytics to get detailed statistics on website activity, refined UI and added more social networks in social network settings, etc.
This week, we have made a lot of improvements in our system for webmasters. Let us tell you some of the tasks we have completed.
1) Studied TON blockchain for integration. For the TON blockchain, we raised a node in Testnet that gives TON and its architecture, and we studied the possibilities of integration. We are considering to create our work-chain with proper transaction rules, we will test different blockchain platforms and choose the most suitable one. We will tell you more about the TON blockchain integration and its results in special news.
2) Studied and prepared the integration of BNB tokens of the Binance Chain. We aim to add more tokens for webmasters to reward users for sharing content. Binance has a very good documentation and a ready SDK for us to test our idea. It is very helpful for us to study to possibilities of rewarding users with BNB token and all tokens from Binance Chain. We will announce the progress and results in special news.
3) Improved Google Analytics to get detailed statistics on website activity. In order to gather detailed statistical data of websites which installed our Sharpay buttons, we have improved the Google Analytics (GA). We changed a little bit in our script, and GA will now get the website’s button activity when loading the script.
4) Refined UI and added more social networks in social network settings. In the social networks setting, we have improved the UI and added more popular social networks, for example, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, Viber, etc. Webmasters can now select more favorite social networks for their own Sharpay buttons.
5) Improved social networks display order for direct share button installation. We have improved the order of social networks in the direct share button installation setting. Webmasters can review the order and how the buttons look like in the preview window.
6) Removed fee when withdrawing deposit nature tokens. Recently, we released the new wallet features, however, the withdrawal fee should not be included if users buy tokens from us or deposit tokens to his Sharpay account. We noticed this misunderstanding and corrected it by removing the fee in certain cases. 10% withdrawal fee is only applicable if users earn their tokens from sharing website content and completing bounty tasks.
7) Fixed Sharpay’s website display in Safari for iOS and MacOS. The widgets on our official website were not displayed correctly in Safari. We checked and fixed the JavaScript to change the style values.
8 ) Optimized the number of requests to CMC. We used up the request limits very quickly, so we optimized the number of requests to CoinMarketCap in our Admin settings.

Sharpay.io is proud to announce that new smart direct share buttons with social media priority features are now available to all webmasters.
We analyzed and studied different sharing cases and sharing behavior. We found out that the sequence and the availability of different social networks directly influence user’s intention to share. If a user who reads interesting content sees his favorite social network in the first place among others in sharing buttons, the probability of sharing and the frequency of sharing increase.
We took this into account and made our Sharpay share buttons smart. We added the smart priority element on our direct share buttons. Now, if your website has installed Sharpay direct share buttons, the display order of different social networks will always be rebuilt in a row for each user of your site.
The smart direct share buttons work as follows:
1) First, we get and record user’s sharing data and behavior in our database, for example, user’s region, sharing history, social network preference.
2) Then, we use our social network priority functions to determine and re-sort the direct share buttons display order for each user.
3) We store the social network priority cache in localStorage to avoid making extra requests to our servers.
4) Every time the user interacts with any of our share buttons, our system will update the cache. The next time the website page is loaded, the user will see an updated sorting.
The conversion of sharing content from your site will grow for two reasons.
🔸 Token rewards for visiting links a user shared on their social media. Because of this visiting reward, which encourages users to actively share. It is the main feature of Sharpay, and it has no analogues.
🔸 Sharpay’s smart direct share buttons. Re-sorting social networks for users increases sharing rate.

🔸 Balance. This is a summary of the tokens you have in your Sharpay account. It displays all balances of your tokens and their values in USD. The USD value of the token is calculated at the market rate on CoinMarketCap. Recently, we have released the new wallet functions; and users are able to "Buy", "Deposit" and "Withdraw" S tokens. Dear Sharpay Members!
We have refined the abbreviations in the new interface and replaced some old abbreviations with new ones. The previous abbreviations were too generalized, but now, we have made them and their descriptions more accurate. The new abbreviations reflect the essence of Sharpay.io reward system.
Let us tell you two new key abbreviations we improved:
❌ CPA (cost per action)
✅ CPS (cost per share)
We replaced CPA (cost per action) with CPS (cost per share) to describe the number of tokens webmasters want to spend to reward users for each* share (sharing) of promoted website’ link.
❌ CPC (cost per click)
✅ CPV (cost per visit)
We replaced CPC (cost per click) with CPV (cost per visit) to describe the number of tokens webmasters want to spend to reward users for each* visit to the promoted website.
CPS (cost per share) and CPV (cost per visit) are used for sharing & visiting rewards, and for webmasters' reports. It will be easier for webmasters to understand the token spending meanings.
* Please note that the anti-cheat system is working effectively in Sharpay.io, we use our own algorithm to check every “share” and every “visit” so that they are part of the “organic” traffic, we charge rewards only for natural, “organic” users actions.

Sharpay development update: added reward information window for direct sharing, added frozen rewards information for webmasters, updated sharing window for direct sharing, etc
We care about every detail of our Sharpay system, we spent a lot of time on improving our sharing window and system interface. Let us share with you some of the completed tasks:
1) Added reward information window for direct sharing. We have improved the direct share buttons, and added a 5 seconds window with reward information. Now, when a user shares website content from direct share buttons, it will display a 5 seconds window showing how much he can earn from other visitors clicking and visiting his shared link.
2) Added frozen rewards information for webmasters. Every time, when users share website content and earn potential token rewards, our system will freeze webmaster’s tokens for the rewards and check the sharing. We added the frozen tokens information for webmasters in wallet page, webmasters are able to see how many tokens are frozen for the sharing and visiting.
3) Added the ability to share content without activation and without rewards. We have made a new efficient update of the sharing window for the convenience of ordinary users. When users use our direct share buttons to share websites’ content, they can choose whether to activate one of their social network accounts to share with rewards or just skip the account activation and continue to share without receiving any rewards. Some users do not need this. They don’t need rewards, they just want to share content. We have taken into account the opinion of such users.
4) Fixed the photo link error in sharing history. We found that if users shared a photo on their social media, and the URL of that photo was too long and exceed certain length, the photo in the sharing history would not be shown properly. Users were not able to see their shared photos in sharing history. We increased the photo length setting and fixed this error.
5) Fixed token reward rate bug in conversion event setting. In our regular system testing, we found out that there was a token reward rate bug in the conversion event setting. Users were able to set any unreasonable numbers for the conversion reward. We have fixed the conversion reward bug.
6) Fixed the cryptocurrency icons display bug. During our system testing, we discovered that the cryptocurrency icon images in the wallet page are blocked by adblock services because of ad-related keywords. Before, we only used the image URLs from CoinMarketCap to display the cryptocurrency icons. Now, we save the icons to our side to avoid adblock blocking image.

Dear Sharpay System Users!
All tooltips and system messages of Sharpay.io have been rewritten. Now you read them in first person (from yourself, to yourself, etc. with a link to file with 29 pages of all our corrections and improvements).
On the Internet, it is generally accepted to address to users all tooltips and system messages, referring "to you", "for you", etc. It so happened, this is the worldwide practice of site owners and webmasters. At the same time, various studies are periodically carried out on how to better communicate with users, how to call them best. When a user reads a message to himself from the site, in what form does he understand it? And most importantly, how does this affect conversions?
Recently, we have studied different use cases and reports about improving communication and attracting users to try different new features. We found that a study from Unbounce (https://www.clickz.com/me-vs-you-how-pronouns-affect-click-conversion-rates/32596), a company that provides web landing services, showing that changing texts from the second person to the first person resulted in a 90% increase in clicks. We studied the results and considered different aspects and usages. We realized that this is a bomb and that's cool. We decided to use first person style for all our tooltips and system messages.
Therefore, we reviewed and refined our tooltips and system messages in order to deliver users the easiest and the most understandable meanings. We believe that first person text style can attract users to try different new features, and also the new improved system messages can avoid a lot of misunderstandings. We made a lot of edits and replacements.

In the interests of our international community, we have translated all tooltips and system messages in 4 basic Sharpay.io languages: English, Chinese, Korean and Russian. Sharpay development update: improved social network sorting in direct sharing widget, added a script for adding text in different positions, reduced requests of number of shares in direct sharing widget, etc.
This week, we focused on improving direct sharing widget and made a lot of changes and new features. Let’s share with you some of our completed tasks.
1) Improved social network sorting in direct sharing widget. Before, the correct sorting of social networks in direct sharing widget was displayed only when user visited the second page of the website. Now, our system will first get a list of social networks and sort it for users, and only after that the system will display the direct sharing widget.
2) Added a script in direct sharing widget for adding text in different positions. We added a supplementary script in direct sharing widget’s JavaScript file. The new script allows system to add text in different positions of the direct sharing widget. It is also helpful in testing and adding new designs to the current widget.
3) Reduced server requests of number of shares in direct sharing widget. Before, for the old direct sharing widget, we made a separate request from each widget to our server to get the number of shares. If the direct sharing buttons contained 10 different social network widgets with a counter, we would receive 10 requests to the server to get the number of shares for the counter. We changed and code and reduced the requests. Now, there will be only one request in such case.
4) Added a new social network sorting element in our database. We considered different elements in sorting social networks for direct sharing buttons, we recently added an element which allows system to sort social networks by country by popularity based on similarweb.com, a website that provides web analytics services for businesses. We added more regions with their own sorting of social networks. Now, for 48 countries we have the opportunity to show first the social networks which are more often used in those countries. The data on the frequency of use of social networks in different regions was taken from similarweb.com.
5) Added a summary of users’ wallets in system Admin panel. We added a summary of all users’ wallets in our system Admin panel for monitoring changes, errors and conducting statistics. It is useful for our Admin to keep track of the changes and help users when there is an error in the transaction.
We are working on new style options for direct share buttons, we will soon announce it in special news. The new style options will give webmasters an opportunity to design and color their own buttons, with extra captions and details! Stay tuned with us!

Sharpay.io added “interests” element in profile and audience setting for both users and webmasters to increase the accuracy of reaching potential customers.
Market segmentation is the process of dividing a target market into smaller groups of people that share common characteristics. We studied different segmentations and we found out that adding “interests” in segmentation could greatly increase the accuracy of reaching potential customers. If users have the same interests as webmaster’s audience setting, for example, “shopping” and “fashion”, it will have a higher chance that users’ friends and followers from their social networks have the same interests, and those are webmaster’s potential customers.
Therefore, we added “interests” element for both users and webmasters. Webmasters can get their specific potential customers and reward users with extra tokens, and users can earn extra tokens if they are webmasters’ target audience.
🔸 For users. You can add interests in your profile (https://app.sharpay.io/profile/settings) and earn extra token rewards from sharing and visiting. By adding your interests, you will also earn 10 S tokens from “Add my interests” bounty task.
🔸 For webmasters. You can manage your projects and add interests in your audience setting. With audience setting, if the users meet the criteria, they can earn more token rewards from sharing and visiting.
To set up audience in your project, you may follow the below simple steps:
1) Go to “Manage projects” (https://app.sharpay.io/webmaster).
2) Choose your project and click “Edit”.
3) Go to “Audience” tab and click “Configure rewards increase”.
4) Check “Turn on rewards increase for selected audience group” box.
5) Set “Genders”, “Age groups”, “Countries” and “Interests”.
6) Click “Save” to finish.
*Please note that you cannot change the “Rewards increase coefficient” at the moment. It will be available when our S token bounty program is finished.

🔸 “Share a link”. Share a link to social networks you connected for the first time and receive an extra reward for each organic visit on your shared link on each social network. You can earn 5 S tokens per organic visit per social network for completing this task.
🔸 “Add Sharpay button to your site”. Add our share buttons to your site for the first time and receive a bonus when a user shares a link from your site using our share buttons. You can earn 100 S tokens for completing this task!
🔸 “Add my interests”. Add interests in your profile and earn extra token rewards from sharing and visiting. You can earn 10 S tokens by adding your interests.

Dear Webmasters!
Sharpay.io is excited to announce that new animated direct share buttons for sites with mobile responsive design and additional new features are now available to all webmasters.
After a long period of development, and we considered different users and their sharing styles, we are so excited that we made some major improvements in direct share buttons and added lots of new features. Webmasters now have a greater degree to customize their own direct share buttons for different users. We also refined the appearance of direct share buttons, making them more attractive and informative in desktop and mobile devices.
Where are they? For example, we install the latest direct share buttons on our FAQ (https://app.sharpay.io/faq), try it and share with your friends!
Let’s see some key improvements we have made for direct share buttons:
🔸 Cool share and reward animation. We designed a very cool, eye-catching share and reward animation for direct share buttons. Users can see a share caption and token reward flipping next to the direct share buttons. The token reward is displayed in the currency that set in "User's Rewards", and is synced with CoinMarketCap, that means users can always get the real time price calculated by CoinMarketCap. Now users are able to see what token rewards and how much they are going to get from each visit via their shared link! It can definitely attract more users to share!
🔸 Minimized aggregated share button for iOS and Android mobile devices. Our system will detect the user's device and change the direct share button accordingly. If users are using a mobile device, the direct share buttons will be minimized and combined all social network icons into one share button icon, and that icon design will change based on the mobile device operating system. That is the minimized share icon will have two different designs, for iOS devices and Android devices. Users can click on the minimized share button, and it will expand a list of social networks for them to share news to. Users are able to see the sharing icons familiar to them. That is a high customized share button design for better user experience.
🔸 Comfortable and easy to click share icon for mobile devices. The size of share icon for mobile devices is selected taking into account the studies that we have found. The optimal size of touching elements on the screen of mobile devices is 11mm which we chose and it is correspondent to the average size of the point of contact of the finger with the surface of the screen. We take care of every users, and make sure everyone can share news easily.
🔸 Optimized share icon shapes and display. We spent a lot of time optimizing the display location of social media icons relative to neighboring icons. Because all the icons are different in shape and it is not easy to bring them together with the best visual effect, but we did finally did it! In the widget code, we added a spacing and size calculation depending on the selected display options of the widget buttons.
🔸 Up to date reward size display. To show the token reward size in the direct sharing's animation, we added the action controller to "Rest" file to get the reward amount for widgets. Now, the token reward size is displayed for direct sharing.
🔸 Worldwide currency for showing reward. There are 7 top currency units webmasters can choose to display the token reward size, they can show the token reward in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), U.S. dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Chinese yuan (CNY), Korean won (KRW) and Russian ruble (RUB).
🔸 Diversified button shapes. We added different shape options (Square, Rounded, Circle) for direct share buttons, webmasters can change different button shapes to fit their web design.
🔸 Customized icon background color. In the "No background color" option, webmasters are able to remove the background color of the social network button icons and select "Color icons" to choose their favorite color for their button icons.
🔸 Additional "copy link" button. We added "copy link" button for direct sharing. Webmasters can add a button for users to just copy the website link and share it to other social networks and friends. They are personal referral links for each user who copies it, so that we can take into account each organic visit on this link and reward that user with tokens.
🔸 Handy share via email button. We added “share via email” button for direct sharing. Webmasters can add a button for users to just copy the website link (personal referral link) and share it to other social networks and friends.
🔸 Limited icons display with smart social network sorting. We recommend displaying 3 social media icons. According to recent studies, this increases the conversion of sharing. Together with our smart social network sorting, users will see their favorite ones first. Others will be available in the next button.
🔸 Flexible button size option for desktop direct share buttons. Beside the standard button sizes (16px, 24px, 32px, 48px) for desktop direct share buttons, we added a sliding bar for webmasters to adjust and change their button size.
🔸 Real time desktop and mobile buttons design preview. You can switch and instantly preview your customized direct share button design in desktop and mobile version. It saves a lot of time in designing your own direct share buttons to fit your websites!

Dear Members!
Sharpay development update: added Sharpay button checking on websites, fixed the display of visiting rewards from direct link, added different languages for direct sharing widget, improved the reward display of direct sharing widget in Safari browser, etc.
Even though we have just released our newly designed direct share buttons, we keep improving and developing our system. We aim to give everyone the best sharing experience. During our system testing, we have fixed some bugs and made a lot of improvements.
Let us tell you some of the completed tasks:
1) Added Sharpay button checking on websites. We added a checking function on our system. After webmasters receives the installation code for their websites, the checking task will start in the background. Our crawler bot will check the presence of Sharpay buttons on websites. Also, in the webmaster section, we will display the status of the buttons. So we can remind webmasters to activate the buttons, and at the same time we can get better statistics.
2) Fixed the display of visiting rewards from direct link. When users copied links, shared on their social networks and got visits from their shared links, they could check all the rewards and transactions on “Visiting History”. However, we found that those visiting rewards were not displayed correctly, and missed the “Direct Link” value in the SNS column. We found the error and fixed it.
3) Added different languages for direct sharing widget. We added language option for webmasters, they can now choose different languages, Chinese, English, Korean and Russian. The language of the animation of direct share buttons will change accordingly.
4) Improved the reward display of direct sharing widget in Safari browser. We discovered that the spacing of the reward display of direct sharing widget in Safari browser was relatively small compared to other browsers, and it could not display normally the full caption. We recalculated the spacing especially for Safari browser and fixed the problem. Now, the system will get the width of the text and calculate the spacing especially for Safari browser.
5) Fixed scrolling problem on login page on small screen devices. Recently, one of our users found a scrolling problem on the login page on his mobile device. We checked again our interface with different screen size settings and found the bug that affected the scrolling on small screen device.
6) Checked the freezing verification of incoming transactions. During our system testing for new features, we found a few verification of incoming transactions were frozen. We set up a log for checking the problems, and understood the cause that stopped the verification process. We took measures on fixing and improving the verification process.
7) Removed /index/ from URLs and configured redirection to short addresses. We have been developing our system for years, and we have made a lot of different addresses. To simplify our addresses, we have removed the /index/ from our URLs and configured redirection to short addresses.
