Because all of alts follow BTC, as BTC has the biggest capitalisation among all of the other cryptocurrencies, that's why it dominate. If the cap of BTC falls, th cap of the whole market falls as well, and that results in prices decrease.

I don't know why you're so negative about one fall of prices. It's not like it's the first time it happend, but i can understand that it might cause some stress  when something you invested much money will bring you loses, but you should have do more reaserch about it, then you would have known that it's pretty normal.
