Merit is so unfair

Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

It is fair enough. they are just protecting us by preventing spammers clogging to the forums posting irrelevan topics (being able to earn from it). with the merit system i think they wanted us to post helpful ideas that can help the crypto society.

My opinion is merit is only used and discovered for good purposes but the point are very to be a member many fake users will be deleted by this forum this will not be need in future and it will be enough in shorter periods.

I do not agree with you, I am still new here but I really agree if merit still exist because meril can make us grow to contribute positiv in this forum, if merit is deleted it will be more garbage in forum and make it very not comfortable

It's not unfair. In order to keep spam posts away, merits are a necessary option. While people struggling for rank and merit, they have to follow the community rules. So there will be a fewer spammy post in threads. It makes help threads keep clean. You were talking about friends and selfish here when it comes to sMerits. Well, let's see, be my friend.

I agree to you mate, as much as I would like to work hard making a quality post sometimes I realized that it became useless because not everyone will appreciate it nor give merits even if they find it useful. I hope we can go back in those time when merit system is not yet implemented.

I think merit is very important very fair and very useful, try you see now many new members who want to try registering in bitcointalk not only that merit also make the members who can not make a good post will not be able to rise the ranking which means the end- this end of many post junk therefore forum administrators apply merit system.

I dont think same , merit is good system , yes its very hard to get , but last time a lot of bots program was farming BTT accounts here and people just sell it , thats why BTT admins decided to make merit system like that . Yes i known that to get hero or legendacy is very hard point now

Being alone here is not easy to reach the next rank because of the merit requirement. I agree with your opinion that some people here are selfish even though they see the post of someone here with the quality but they didn't give merit. Hopefully in the next few months the merit requirement will updated so that the new members are having an opportunity to rank up.

OP, you either are oblivious to the rampant shitposting we've got going on here, or you just don't give a shit about it.  My guess is that since your English skills are mediocre at best, you don't even realize that most of the "discussion" happening on bitcointalk is complete nonsense--posts made just so people can fulfill their signature campaign quotas for the week.  

Another thing:  It's not unfair.  You're just impatient.  

Yet another thing:  Why are you so fixated on ranking up here?  You don't have to answer that, as it was a rhetorical question.  You're being impatient with the merit system because you want to rank up as quickly as you can so that your earning potential rises as fast as possible.  Please be honest and admit that, because it's obvious.  And there isn't much respect for users like you, because you and others like you are the reason the merit system was implemented in the first place.  There's too much noise and not enough signal.

You've already earned some merit, so I don't know what you're complaining about.  Just suck it up and be patient.

Constructive post is just not enough they looking for a better content  cause  a lot of members making   a multiple account and having a high ranks in just a short time cause they knew the system routine they just preventing this to happened   lot of shit poster

Honestly, I am not into this merit system until now. I am still bitter about this system. However, I agree with the system's logic about merits. Yes, It is to prevent shitposting and spammers from our forum. Also, I am encouraged do make quality posts so those who give merits will notice me even though it only happened once. Let's just accept the fact that there is a merit system. If you keep on complaining, nothing will happen. At least you've got 12 merits now, good for you.

  Only one thing i found it....Merit is not unfair,it is useful but it has an advantage and disadvantages,negative and positive effect to everyone of us. For those who disagree in merit system you have no choice and nothing to do about it, just do your work very well,post with quality and always obey and follow the rules here in forum, i am sure merit will follow you.

True, merit is not about a good quality post, this about how many friends are you. If you don't have a merit your rank cannot high. Merit will make us hard. We all want to do is to have earning.

Merit is unfair yes because even if you posted good topics/idea its still hard to get it but if it will be for the benefits of the forum and for the members it is better then.We just strive more harder and be patient to get merit rather than suffering from spam/garbage messages that will affect our forum.It is hard yes but we had no choice but to obey the rules.Well those merit system will also help you to be good in analysis and planning so just keep making good post and wait till they give you a merit.
