Merit is so unfair

Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

It may be a bit unfair to some people who are new here, but is it fair to the forum to be flooded by bad quality posting? And how come you can say the word "selfish" if even you, your own-self, is selfish?
Also, merit is not given for free, instead, you need to work hard for it. You don't even need a friend to have some merit, you just need yourself and your creativity. It takes patience, so just be patient! Success doesn't come easily in all aspects my friend!  

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

And for me, we need merit to rank up and to prove that we are not just a piece of garbage to this forum. This is just a challenge so don't loose hope.

I hope there will be no more protesting merit, fair or not it depends on the way of thinking.

Exactly we can't do nothing about merit,  just accept and do more constructive post and maybe someday they will recognize you.

I feel there is sense in what you said because everyone feels the same way one way or the other. You can try as much as possible constructing good posts that naturally warranted merit for you to be more encouraged, but it shall be all to no avail. My advice for you is in any situation better still, just try in your own perspective to satisfy your conscience over what you have posted that you have tried your best. I know somehow, the merit shall be granted naturally when you least expected.

Merit system is fair enough, but merit distribution was not too fairly. Thanks to the system, we started not seeing too many scam messages. and finally it stopped multi-accounts intensive activities.

Merit system should be further developed, but its imposition had a positive impact on content quality. That's a fact that can't be denied.

Unfair to those who will rank up that time but didnt rank up because of the merit system implementation specially those will rank up to senior member, hero member and legendary. But in the other way merit system is good to limit all the shiyposters

I think they created this merit system to control the growing population of this forum because this forum becomes more popular now in which almost every hour their is a new member and these new members are mostly are spamming the thread therefore we like or not we should accept it because we are not force to join this forum.

Unfortunately for most of you guys there’s nothing you can do about it. The Merit system has been implemented so you just have to suck it up & get on with it.

The thing about this merit system is that it is two side of the coin. It helps the forum to reduce spammers, account farmers, shit posters. On the other hand, it works on the contrary to limit the low ranks from speedily ranking up.

And personally, I also see that it is difficult to earn merit. What seems good post to many, others would even call it shit post. Is a biase method but I also like it because it is helping members to improve in their ideas.

It's good they implemented the merit system, this way not so good post and unrelated comments will be lessen. Another things is it helps moderators to find those people who have alt accounts because they just do abused merits to themselves. I know it's hard now to rank up because even if you have enough activities you'll not going to rank up unless you gain the needed merits, so the best way to gain merits is just improve your together with everyday learning by reading a lot of informations and news so that you're always updated on what's going on in crypto world.

Work hard, be patient, and post an informative comment in the forum that will cat h for the attention of the reader where they can get valuable information. Merit is hard to get but important to rank up the account. It is possible that somebody can give it to you on their own decision because they like what you think. Do not stop and keep moving.

I really agree with you, I often see posts that are not qualified even very simple and even not useful for others but given a merit. I think this must be a merit trade or a merit exchange between friends. this is what makes the forum become like a comedy forum. this is the same as playing the people who seriously discuss in this forum. I would like to ask for the moderator to pay more attention to the cheating that happened in this forum

Yes of course, merit is really unfair, because we all know that there is also a brand new here, and all of the brand new here is very unfair to them , because they don't have a merit, and also they will not going rank up without their merit. What if they answer is not a good quality? they will not get  merit and they will not rank, they will just stay on their rank at junior.

I feel merit re-branded so many postings in this forum to sanity. Overtime now, I mean since the inception and introduction of this meriting system, tremendous changes had been observed leaving uncommensurable and badly constructed postings to unrecognized Achive. I am not saying you are not right in all honesty, I only think the System is still okay. But I am at the same time submitting that we should be considerate, not to be at the extreme in our restriction, we may correct where necessary to avoid the future repetition of such posts and awards merit where supposed, so that members and especially the Newbies shall be more guided and encouraged.

All of us is affected by the merit system, i am also affect because i didnt expect to be rank up now anymore. They implemented the merit system to improve everything and everybody in this forum.

I am agree with some of your opinion about merit. I am struggling too about merit it is hard to have a point. but it is the new rules now in this forum because they are protecting us to some people who do bad and to the people who want to create many accounts. I know it is hard to create a quality post but we have no choice we need to follow the rules.

Forum moderators are tired of fighting spam. The merit system makes sense, but I agree with you that this experiment has failed. It is always difficult for people to admit their mistakes. Therefore, I think that the merit system will be abolished in the future. Forum moderators need time to understand it and perhaps come up with another tool to fight spam.

Merit system is a good thing I guess since spam post and useless post will be lessened and people will take time to make research to make a good post. I have seen many post which are not substantial and poorly made. There are a lot of post which are very short and does not even reach the minimum requirement of 100 characters. This forum is not a simple forum, this forum is made so that ideas could be shared among other members and thus having merits is one way to gauge the members.

The merit system is more accurate who are mutiple account but if there is just like bounty no one can stop because even though they reach jr.member or member they can join easily. But for the newcomers just like me. Yeah it still dissappointed because you make post more constructive but no one can sent back merit with you? Then why is it? Because they don't have sendable merit, another problem of merit system is the lack of sendable merits for others. As you can see you can make an sendable merit if they merited you but what happen if they don't merited that user. Nothing else will be gained for that just like locked up in the cell that no one cares about your situation.
