Mining since yesterday at tagmining.com, I should have 1 or 2 confirmed blocks already, but no payout to my wallet.
Address TNwrV1smnoX2mSJ4GJ3f6uJkWacx83FEes

Hoping the pool owner can check.

OK, this seems to be a reoccurring theme.  I've checked the DB, and the payouts are all screwy.  Either someone is using some kind of exploit on the pool, the pool software just doesn't work after running solid for 2 years, or there is something wrong with the tagcoin network.  I'm going to say #3 is probably not the case, unless other pools are having this issue.  #2 is probably unlikely as well.  I've never had issues with NOMP or UNOMP before on a pool, and the pool has been running error free for a LONG time now.  So I'm seriously starting to think that someone is exploiting the pool in some way.  I'm looking at the payouts table on the pool, and there is a payout for a couple thousand tag listed for a single address.  This has happened every time someone has mentioned that there was an issue with the payouts, each time with a different address that doesn't appear to be mining day to day.

I've purged the payouts for that address, and the other payouts processed right now.  Redmonski, check your wallet and let me know if you got the payments.

If this continues to happen, I'm going to shut the pool down.  Frankly, I'm getting tired of maintaining this pool if people are just going to ruin it for the community by trying to exploit some coin out of miner's payouts.  And over what... $5 in TAG?  I've put too much time and effort in keeping this pool live for the community in the last 2+ years for someone to come along week after week and try to steal a few dollars.

Not sure if this is related but I had payout issues with one of my user.  Turns out when he enabled worker and payout notifications, it broke payouts (auto and manual) only to him.  So for 4 days, I had to send him payouts from the commandline.  It was not until he disabled notification that payouts work again.

Fuse, hasn't this pool been paid for by the creators of TAG?

Mark funded the loss of coins from when the pool was tanked by fork chain payouts back when the orphan issues and forks were going on.  MPOS at the time paid out on confirmed blocks with the pool balance, even if the blocks were building on a fork.  It was around 2000TAG at the time which went right back to the miners to cover their losses.  However, I've been paying the server costs since day 1.

In the recent past, Mark and I discussed his team taking over the pool and domain name, but we never really finalized anything.

On an MPOS front end though right?  There aren't any notifications on the nomp/unomp pools that this could be related to.  I really think this is either a valid share exploit or a bug in the code.  If it is a bug in the code, I would guess you would see a lot more people shouting on other coin threads about payouts.  Essentially, what happens is a single address will show a huge amount for payout, which the system then tries to payout but gives an error based on the available balance.  So it retries with a percentage decrease in payouts.  And it will fail.  And then again and again.  I have to go into the DB and remove the erroneous payout, then the regular payouts get processed.  Not that any of that solves the underlying issue, but just trying to be transparent about what's going on.

True, it's mpos frontend so nothing to do with NOMP.

Wow on Mark paying for the fork.  I didn't know that.  I had to buy TAG on exchange to pay my users.  Took a big hit on that one as TAG wasn't cheap then.

I had been doing the same up until that point.  I had already resolved the fork payouts personally like 3 or 4 times up until that point to cover the losses.  I lost a lot of my total coin savings(all coin holdings) over it.  I couldn't cover the loss on that big hit, and Mark and I came to a deal.  At the time, it wasn't a crazy amount of money, and he wanted the miners to be paid rather than the pool be shut down.

All in all, it's been a fun ride running the pool, but if the payout issues keep happening, I don't know if it's worth the monthly server costs and time troubleshooting to keep it going.  The pool hasn't even generated positive income in a very long time.  I just keep it running for the community to use, which makes it upsetting that someone would cause these problems over a few dollars/cents in TAG.  It's not like the pool is churning out bitcoins every day.

Not sure if network issue or exchange issue. I send coins last night to BTC38 exchange, my desktop wallet shows confirmation but nothing appearing in my exchange wallet.

Tagmining.com has been shut down.

After all the issues lately, I've decided to throw in the towel on the pool for now.  I may work on getting back up and running as a MPOS pool in the future, but for now, I'm just tired of dealing with the payout issues.  The last block had the same issue with a new address set to get a payout 10-15 times what the block rewards were, so I'm pretty sure there is an exploit in the nomp pools that is being used.

I've made manual payouts to the legitimate addresses on the last confirmed block, and there is less than 0.1TAG left in the pool wallet.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thank you for running the pool so far.

Is there any remaining TAG pool?

Is there any remaining TAG pool?

Techbytes pool is still up and running.  I used to park some of my miners there to spread the hashes.  It's solid.

I haven't posted on here for a while, been building a game app called Tagwild (combination of ideas from pokemon, monopoly and risk), where prizes, points and stamps can be won by visiting geotags, beacons, qr codes on the map. We will be giving out cash prizes of Bitcoin and Tagcoin as well.

Other news is the fact that the ewallet system running under Tagcash.com will be completely based on the Tagcoin blockchain - every transaction in Tagcash will be reflected by a Tagcoin transaction. This is so we can avoid some of the onerous banking regulation issues here in Philippines, and possibly elsewhere as well.

For all aspects of TAG Group, feel free to checkout the website at tagcash.org

Will be updating the wallet code in the next 2 to 3 weeks, bringing it up to date, including multi sig etc. New Wallets for Mac OSX, WIndows and Linux. Looking into a browser wallet as well to be offered on tagcoin.org. We are working on a tagcoin.org REST API for use in our Tagcash app, and for integration into the Tagcash.com website, as all transactions will be running on the blockchain.

Looking forward to the update.  Hopefully you can reduce resource usage since Tagcoin is one of the more resouce-hungry coins I've run.

Will see on the update...but remember, it is  PoS coin, so it will use the CPU resources to mine for the 5% per year interest.

I have an idea. There's another coin (the other PH based one that just launched last month) you could pair with TAG to exchange with, in addition to buying or trading it from other exchanges. It might raise the value of both. Dunno if that's a good idea or not, but it seemed to make sense to me since both coins are intended to be used in the PH.

@Dabs - I only want to use the block chain of Tagcoin for transactions and we must have enough in our system to handle this. Essentially, for each transaction in Tagcash from user to user or user to merchant, it would be like selling or buying Tagcoin internally. When someone deposits via 7/11 or bank in pesos, they are effectively buying Tagcoin from us, or when doing it from an Agent, they are buying Tagcoin at a fixed value from them. When cashing out, they are selling their tagcoin - however, to the users, this is not seen..to all intents and purposes they are dealing in Pesos. We will be able to roll out the same model in other countries, depending on local regulations. Pairing it with another Cryptocurrency doesn't really make sense at this point.
