The Goldcoin development team has just released mandatory software update V 0.7.1.2.

This update is designed to correct network chain fragmentation caused by a bug in the previous version.

Download links: http://gldcoin.com/get-started/

Support forum: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?board=22.0

The development team is currently on standby in the event you require technical assistance.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

The developers have informed me that it will take approximately 24 hours for the network to sync. Please allow several hours for the client to download and sync. We are just now rolling this out and will provide more information shortly. Thank you.

gld not in cryptsy?

We requested that Cryptsy pause Goldcoin for a few hours to allow the updated clients to reach consensus.

The new GoldCoin 51% defense is the first of its kind and there have been a few unexpected kinks related to the original bitcoin code and its memory overflow protection. The latest update is now being compiled and will become available within the hour.

To the best of my understanding this is normal. You are probably triggering the new 51% defense system. The developers will be closely monitoring the network over the next few days to ensure that the system is functioning optimally.

You did not lost anything, because you have nothing. It is impossible you thought that you were opened every block and all (thousands) coins belong to you.

After many rejected blocks, I finally had one but its not showing in wallet transactions. The wallet say 'Number of transactions : 1' and nothing else.

Checked the logs its block 101527 (http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/80cfc95cfac458ce0d09e8b44d65d5659d82834d5436f7b9271cc4b91f0a6b42)

There was 1 transaction in the block?
Did you get your coins?

Nope. I just noticed something interesting. Log says accepted but listtransactions in debug window says orphan.

Isn't the defense mechanism supposed to be triggered when _I_ make more than 5 blocks in 10 minutes?
Started with a fresh wallet and got 5 rejects before it accepted the first block.
When I look at times between block it seems like _any_ block found when there were already 10 blocks in last 10 minutes is rejected...

All pools except one seem to be offline and the one running (coinex) says it found its last block 24 hours ago. Hence I wanted to try solo mining.

The 0.7.1.3 GoldCoin client is in sync with the blockchain. But cgminer (running at 500 khash/s) only shows rejects. I had default settings for scan-time and expiry so as suggested elsewhere I tried to set queue=0, scan-time=2 and expiry=2. Ever since then I get rejects a lot more rarely but still...rejects and not a single accept. While in the meantime even cpuminer has found a block with its 45 khash/s...
Any suggestions for the cgminer settings to use? Here's what I got right now:
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o http://localhost:8122 -u eXclusiveOR -p ******* -I 13 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 950 --gpu-memclock 1412 --auto-fan --worksize 256 --scan-time 2 --expiry 2 --queue 0
