Gave this a try and my first block find was rejected. I don't think your patch worked.

The patch does not take effect until block 103000. After that block, please allow a few hours for difficulty to normalize.

I cant get the wallet to run on ubuntu 12.04 said error while loading shared libs libminiupnpc.so.5 cannot open shared object. I have the package installed but it still wont run

Take a look here and see if this helps: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=764.0

What's up with so many updates via email?

This is to keep the community informed. There's an op-out link in the bottom of each message.

103000 blocks before valid?

The new code changes take effect after block 103000.

The new client is busted somewhat!

1. if you quit before half an hour is up since your last transaction.. you will lose all those transactions that happened in that time!
My Transactions just keep disappearing and there is no way to check or repair wallet!! Sad

2. with connect= set and peer.dat removed the client still connects to other ips other than the ones listed in the conf

Please fix ASAP.

1. If your transactions are disappearing then you are likely on the wrong chain.

2. That's because irc seeds/dns seeds are on, if you want to use connect to connect to a specific chain you'll have to set dns=0 for dns related values.

Hi Akumaburn,

1. According to the blockchain explorer I am on the most recent chain this has happened on 2 seperate clients one that is newly installed and downloaded block chain and one that I redownloaded the block chain using the nodes on the website.

2. Could be that I messed Up.. will double check that [edited]

Hi Microguy,

I solved 10 blocks over the course of the morning 4 are still in my transaction list, the other 6 have disappeared and are no longer in the transaction list, additionally my client shows a count of 11 transactions but there are only 4 in the list :/

Would be cool to understand how and why this is happening?

That's the least I could do!

I am running version v0.7.1.4-gcf3abdf39d-beta and the Height matches the BlockChain

It sounds like you're good then....things should get better tomorrow after the hard fork.

Code:
[2013-11-05 14:09:33] accepted: 0/1 (0.00%), 19.05 khash/s (booooo)

What could cause a block to be outright rejected by the client?

See the log file, you might/should see this:

Code:
ERROR:
 ProcessBlock() : Possible Multipeer 51 percent detected, initiating anti-legit-peerban defense! halting until valid block! This is normal..

ERROR: BitcoinMiner : ProcessBlock, block not accepted

What version are you running and does you block height match the explorer: http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/

Yep same block height both clients are showing 102951 and the block explorer is also showing 102951, using version: "v0.7.1.4-gcf3abdf39d-beta"

{
"version" : 70104,

}

1. According to the blockchain explorer I am on the most recent chain this has happened on 2 seperate clients one that is newly installed and downloaded block chain and one that I redownloaded the block chain using the nodes on the website.

Just watched a further 4 mining transactions that were approved half an hour ago and had 3 and 4 confirmations respectively revert back to 0 confirms, and become ? in the transactions list, though one block mined 10 mins before this still remain.. also this time the actual transactions didn't disappear.. well not yet.. if I exit the client they may...

[edit] yep they disappeared upon exiting and re-opening the client Sad [/edit]

Please let me know if there is any reason as to why this would happen and why they would stop showing in the qt transaction log.
