Has this already occurred?  Was the date the 15th May 2014 when this happened?

Reward is then reduced each year using the following formula: 50 divided by (1.1 + 0.49*every year thereafter)

So is the reward now 31.44654088050314?

This issue should be resolved shortly.

Basically this is a result of two things:

1. I moved the Gold coin explorer to a new server when I cut down on the number of free explorers and shut down two VPS. Before this, the Goldcoin explorer (and daemon) had been on the same server for quite some time and hence was in a large percentage of peoples peer files. Because of this it always had connections because a large amount of peers would try to connect to it, the seed node in the client/daemon code did not matter.

2. After the move, the new IP is not in anybody's peer file causing the daemon to try and connect to the seed node. For some reason it cannot connect to the seed node which I believe is due to the Cloudflare setup the seed node is behind. Remember the client no longer uses IRC to find peers, so a fresh client needs the seed node as a starting point to find nodes to connect to.


None of this is a big deal and relatively easy to solve in a couple of ways. The explorer should be synced as soon as  the seed node issue is fixed or I get some addnodes from Microguy
