If you go all in, on one coin and that coin just keeps on going down and down, what will you do ?? You'll have to wait for months for that coin to go back up to the price at which you bought your coins or you'll have to cut your losses. It is not that you “need” to diversify, but it is a better practice cause it lowers the risk of loss. The crypto market is volatile enough as is, so if you hold a diverse portfolio there is a chance one of your coins could be doing better than the rest and you are still earning a profit, but if you put all your money in one crypto and said crypto fails then you are screwed.
