The solution should be pretty simple actually. Just reduce the claim intervals to like twice a day or every 6 hours.

We as users here think that the number of faucet claimers on freebitco.in are small, but it is not so. A number of bot accounts and all are always trying to abuse every faucet out there, this one is not exception to their wrath. If they take such a radical step, then such account owners will start complaining.

Still I feel it is the better option to go for instead of shutting down the faucet completely. But ultimately it is the decision of the owners, they might even decide to just keep it running as it is and let the dispense amount reduce proportionally.

First of all, if bot owners start to complain, let them be and if they catch (which they usually do) they could just ban them. Secondly, regular people who claim, usually are not thousands and thousand every hour I assume, and even if they are, it's a small amount, it's literally 10 satoshi, which means even if one thousand people claim every hour, that is 10k satoshi per hour, they probably pay more than that just on interest.

So I assume that it is going to be fine for them, I am not seeing any trouble. Way too many people worried about how they are going to end up paying for this, but not enough people realize how much they have been paying so far. This place has been around for 10+ years, and they have paid so far, why assume they would have a trouble after this?

I hope they do get caught and banned. It pains to me think that people attempt to use every method to dry a faucet by being unethical instead of working their lazy ass off.

If you are old enough, then you might also remember that Freebitco.in had ads space on their website and it was very cheap to place your ad on their website automatically after depositing some bitcoins. Then they removed the possibility of buying their ad space and put google adsense ads on their website, then they finally removed ads and changed their strategy. BTC price is still blipping about the 68k level so Im thinking we are into new prices isnt this a rocket launch move from lack of volume to resist in this area.   Seems looking back to December 2020 we did take a few weeks before launching higher, I guess its not yet been long enough to call it.  Todays lows are weekly average, if thats the last touch of this support I'll take it as likely to continue otherwise it might stall if BTC price action waits much longer.  I do see us taking a bit more time to gain further, its not yet broken the pattern of prior gains but most of March so far has orbited around this one price.

So in this scenario when the demand is high and there are fewer bitcoins on exchanges, the chances of a big dump in the bitcoin market are very low. We should consider this when making any prediction for the March Bitcoin price at freebitco.
