If BTC price normally shows much volatile movement I don't understand why you're finding the current situation not realistic. Those kind of movements aren't unusual for BTC and everyone betting or trading should take into account the likeliness of them to occur even when volatility seems to be low. It's maybe currently harder to speculate and bet on its price because of the current high volatility but large movements liquidating margin positions are never impossible and right odds should incorporate that risk.

I got 20k lottery tickets just from the wheel win payouts, an ok chance but the reason why 100 tickets shows up as a win is that its very common to hold this amount so each small chance but as a group there is tons of these people so it pops up unexpectedly often.
