Gearing up for the lambo contest , wagering it, praying to get some tickets from Wheel of fortune but no luck on that front. The BTC price bet is a long shot, problem is the volatility of BTC and the difficulty in getting the exact day right.   I got a price right on a low but then we recovered for a few days after and just before the month ended we were far away from the low that I had foreseen.   I wasn't wrong but I didn't win either, its a good lesson for BTC overall that the lowest price often doesn't stick and it does recover back again.  We've been stuck to 33 or 34k just about every day bar a few since June 20th, until I see different I guess thats the most likely outcome where as I just want to see the most profitable outcome stick for midnight close :p

Unfortunately it has been like that for 2 months now, we have no idea what the result will be like. I am sure at the very last seconds there will be bigger and bigger bets, people do not bet on that for too long of a time, that is the one thing I wager every single month without exception and I can say that I have been right as much as I have been wrong and it is just a very hit and miss thing.

All the times I was right I usually had 2 or even sometimes 3 bets, which makes it incredibly easy to wager, and all the times I was wrong, I still had 2 bets, think about it, I cover nearly 10k sometimes, or minimum of 5k and still end up losing because that is how much bitcoin is volatile. In the end it does pay decent, most of my wins covered the bets itself and then some, and I am fine with it, it is also like a personal thing for me instead of just betting, to see if I can guess it is a big fun.

I guess many people are also unlucky enough to win golden tickets in the wheel of fortune, and it isn't surprising because the chance of winning even one golden ticket is very low. Nevertheless, I remember that some lucky guy won few golden tickets, and he posted a screenshot in this thread.

I think that the WOF spin was predetermined the moment you clicked on it and the spin was there as a suspense. The fact that you won the prize that was close to the gift cards doesnt mean that you are close to get it but it was predetermined that you are going to get the 500 RP which is coincidentally close to the gift cards

The prizes might be close on the animation but this is not meant to be interpreted literally. In reality each number is generated randomly and their position on the wheel has nothing to do with how close you were to winning a different prize. The odds of getting 500 RP is 20 million times greater than winning a Rolex so none of us are ever really close. It is just a matter of probability and randomness, eventually somebody will win it but we don't know how long it will take and who will be the winner.

I would be playing this "game" of buying/selling all the time , but it looks like, although you can buy any amount of FUN tokens, you can sell only 2,500 FUN and above, am I right? Nevertheless, I have just bought 1 FUN, and now I have 3 of them in total, but I don't think I will be able to sell anything below 2.5k.

It is not uncommon for people to win a reward higher than 50 sats. People post proof of 500 or 5k wins a few times each week. We even see people winning golden tickets. It is only the top 3 prizes which we have not seen any proof yet but the odds are so low to win them that I would be surprised if an active forum member has already won them.

I think winning 200 dollars thing is about the similar way, it is not very common and I hardly ever see anyone win that. However there was (I don't know if that is still going on) some sort of extra reward for anyone who get 200 dollars and then share it on a specific topic about it, people came in and showed proof of them winning the 200 dollars and they get extra reward for that, freebitco.in is a website that may have more users than bitcointalk overall let alone having all their users here, so that means they pay people extra money to start a new account on bitcointalk just to share proof.

IIRC wasnt the lambo winner used to post in this thread? Anyway there is always that few players in every casino that win the mega jackpot, lambo or any huge grand prize from the site but that user barely chat or show himself up so it doesnt really matter. After reading this post I decided to read through the details of how the spins are calculated. It says that the decimal is rounded down to the the nearest whole number. That would make the odds for winning the Rolex 1 in 4294967295 since there is nothing that can be rounded down to 1 billion and only the maximum 8 digit hexadecimal number is able to get a result of exactly 1 billion.
