It's not worth it for them to leave the site down like this, wanna know why? Check this out from GSC = Google Search Console:
That contribution stems from visits by users whose funds are still trapped there. Any notification regarding FreeBitco can trigger traffic spike up. Ultimately, the hope for those who have lost significant sums is simply that the site remains accessible. If the site were to disappear completely, they might well prepare alternative legal measures.

I checked again, and it turns out the site is partially accessible after all. A 502 error still occurs when you try to visit https://freebitco.in/. However, if you try to access individual pages, such as https://freebitco.in/static/html/one_click_signup_new.html, https://freebitco.in/site/, or https://freebitco.in/site/blogs, they remain accessible, though the CSS and JS on these pages are not working properly. I believe this behavior indicates a partial failure in the site's server infrastructure, which, it seems, no one is in a hurry to fix.
Those links are not familiar to many people and not many of them will check it. They just go to landing page and see the site is not accessible so they conclude that the site offline for unknown time. I don't think they will return and fix the failure on the site because they run away which we don't know when.

No, it's actually more likely HE (not they) will fix it at a certain point, it's a server issue that is usually resolved with one simple restart.

The problem? No one is there to hit the restart button.

Many websites are built with scripts that after a while have this error and it's a coding error but since no one really "cares" about the site from management/administration perspective and only leaving some banners/ads for monetization purposes, and possibly deposits from gullible users who don't know the site is a scam.

So the "cost" which is a simple restart button in comparison to leaving the site like this with a cloudflare error is not worth it for that single owner who has the ability to make the site resume at any time with a click of a button.

Maybe these continuous downtimes as well as the scam reports and overall this unscrupulous behavior would make Google's algorithm rank the site lower so fewer people would find this scam website and deposit their hard earned cash/bitcoin into this site, but your assumption "I don't think they will return" - highly unlikely, it is possibly going to return, but would be extremely happy to be "wrong" here.

The site should be shutdown and cleared for all the parties to know their fate and what next move to make, cause what the casino is doing is buying time to escape legal actions against them from those customers who their inappropriate action has affected badly by having some non negligible sum of money trapped in their casino. This, the tactics of not shutting down and not coming back either therefore leaving customers in a continued renewing hope.

To be fair, anyone who had a significant amount of money on there would not wait for the webpage to be down before seeking to retaliate legally or find some way to get to the administrators of Freebitcoin.
That strategy of just hoping to get money back from these scammers mostly works for people who have a relatively small amount of money, which would be less than the cost of tracking down the admins of Freebitcoin or getting some professional legal advice.

Only because the site is up, it does not mean there are more chances to get one's money back from scammers. That is a sad but true fact.

As of right now, they are out of reach:

I wouldn't say, I pray for something happened to them, but I surely wouldn't mind. I mean, they deserve it.
What did you mean about "they deserve it"?
If they decided to close their service, without any announcement for service closure and without any time window for remaining users to withdraw money, it's terrible from their operations. I don't think anything like "they deserve it" here, and only Freebitco.in users suffer a lot of pain from this sudden service closure.

By "they deserve it" I meant they deserve the punishment they are getting. I know that a lot of people got a lot of pain from this sudden service closure. That's unacceptable. Nothing can be put in their defense if they run away with people's money.

~
Then the nightmare coming to those who lost. They really lost and better forget it as they are now more difficult to get their money back. Many people hopes the authority catch and punish them without giving any excuses.

It seems they shutdown the site so people will not see the site online so that prevents new people from scamming. But it is sad to see the losing people without any chance to get their money.

Yes, I hope so too. The site is still offline and maybe it's because the authority is doing something already. Hopefully we'll read in the news that the scammers were caught and put in jail.

I remember that ever since the problems started, the site was offline at one point – for a day or two, I think. But I’ve just checked, and sure enough, it’s still offline. That’s a whole week now. Can we definitely say that freebitco.in has shut down for good? Only time will tell but it looks like it.

I believe this behavior indicates a partial failure in the site's server infrastructure, which, it seems, no one is in a hurry to fix.

Well, it's been two years with no hurry to fix anything.

Hard to say. Zero communications, but I could say it's as good as gone.

Next question is, who's gonna file the class action lawsuit?

Next question is, who's gonna file the class action lawsuit?

I don't think that's the next question, the relevant question is how is the lawsuit gonna be filed.

Given the complexity of the issue, I think it’s more likely that we’ll see individual lawsuits filed by people who have lost a lot of money rather than class-action lawsuits. If the site operator is based in India—and as far as I recall, the site had an Indian license—the case should be filed there and adhere to Indian law. I don’t see thousands of people from many countries around the world agreeing to file a single international class-action lawsuit, given the costs involved, for such small amounts.

Most likely, those most affected—the ones who have lost the most money and who, in turn, have the most resources to file an international lawsuit—will be the ones to pursue it.

If I'm not mistaken, there have already been a few similar site outages during all the drama surrounding freebitcoin. Even if their site suddenly starts working again, it won't really change much. Freebitcoin has effectively been a scam and a defunct platform ever since they stopped processing user withdrawals.

I would not be entirely sure about that. While I am sure that there isn't anyone in charge right now, I am sure that there might be someone who could hit that restart button. Or at least reach out to the person who could. We have seen some noise coming from them from time to time, not often, but from time to time. Both wetsuit and quin couldn't be dead at the same time, and they even hired some people for here, so we can't really assume that EVERYONE is dead, and if they are alive, no matter how scammer they are, they could still restart it.

Exactly. Even I remember there were few outages previously when there were ongoing issues with the withdrawals and WoF spins.
Some people thought that the site has finally shutdown only to realize that the site was up and running few days later, although the issues still persisted.
I think the same might happen this time too but still wonder why are they even bothering to run the site yet. Why not just shut it down completely for good.

This makes me wonder who does even Indian justice take care of cases like this one, keeping in mind India has become very infamous on the internet for the huge amount of scams which operate from there. Keeping in mind the huge amounts of money which has been stoles through all these years by Indian scam centers, there must be a long line so Indian justice takes one's case and proceed to indict someone within their territory.
It is certainly not as it works in the United States and some other western countries, where financial crimes are taken very seriously, if they happen within their national territory.

It is certainly not as it works in the United States and some other western countries, where financial crimes are taken very seriously, if they happen within their national territory.

Until recently, we didn’t have any idea who was behind the site, so there wasn’t anybody that could be sued or arrested. Whether Indian or not, it’s very uncommon for crypto scammers to ever face legal trouble. FreeBitco.in did process withdrawals for a long time while things were falling apart and in the end they claimed that payments would resume once they had eliminated all the fraudulent accounts. They can pretend they are trying to do the right thing to make a legal challenge harder.

Now that there are clues as to who the site owner might be, we know that they have a lot of resources and they have some political connections. Even for somebody that lost $10,000, they would probably spend more than what they recover if they filed a lawsuit on their own.

A class action suit would likely be the most feasible option. I don’t know if anybody has made a serious effort to make something happen beyond filing online complaints.

This is going to be temporary, I am sure of that, but it may not be as well, and I would not be shocked, because after all, they are gone, and I mean "gone" gone, like they took it and gone now, not even trying to hide it anymore. They used to hide it; they used to come up with "we have been attacked by people who are trying to abuse our website, and we will ban all the abusers, and the remaining people will be allowed to withdraw" kind of deal.

That was obviously a lie, but at least they used to have the decency to lie to us; they were at least that bold. Now they are not even doing that; they do not care, and they are just letting it be, so maybe back in those days, when they at least lied to us, they would open it back up, but now? Now they may not even open it back up, because they do not even come out to lie anymore, so why open it?

~snip~

Perhaps I might wrong with my assumption because most site that I met just end without return but they will be back with a new concept. We can call HE if that is wetsuit but HE will not works alone to maintain the site but I don't know for sure so I called THEY. But if that is really just HE, then he smart enough to trick all members there and pretend that the site is a trusted site and recommended site.

If he or they have another plan, he or they might return to the site and activate it again and get new members so he or they can get more money and scam the members.

~snip~

Yes, I hope so too. The site is still offline and maybe it's because the authority is doing something already. Hopefully we'll read in the news that the scammers were caught and put in jail.
I also want the same so the scammers can stays there for a long time.

If I'm not mistaken, there have already been a few similar site outages during all the drama surrounding freebitcoin. Even if their site suddenly starts working again, it won't really change much. Freebitcoin has effectively been a scam and a defunct platform ever since they stopped processing user withdrawals.

Exactly. Even I remember there were few outages previously when there were ongoing issues with the withdrawals and WoF spins.

But for a whole week? Eight days now? I don't think so. My memory may be playing tricks on me, but I could swear that those past outages didn’t last quite so long. They were two, three days long or so.

If I'm not wrong with what I remember the cause of their outage before is.

On year 2024 they experience server issues.

In same year or maybe in year 2025 they experience an outage due to long withdrawal backlogs.

The that what happen these days, it seems like a pure exit scam. That long days or weeks their site remain inaccessible indicates that they already pull the trigger and looks like freebitco.in don't have plans to come back.

You are right about that. The previous outage was around 2 days where people started going nuts over it.
This time though, it's quite long and indicates that they have literally shut down but isn't that expected?
They had already put a notice on their site that they are going to shut down the site, so I think this is how they are doing it.

...

A class action suit would likely be the most feasible option. I don’t know if anybody has made a serious effort to make something happen beyond filing online complaints.

I think the most obvious next step to take for people who have lost money to this casino would be to band together on some Telegram group or Discord server, in which they can actually coordinate a roadmap, manage information and handle some eventual class action against whoever is behind the webpage.
As long as people who lose money continue to be on their own, they will be weak against such a big entity like Freebitcoin was.

We shouldbot just shrug this off and forget about it because it was just "another scam", actually that is what scammers within the crypto ecosystem want: to normalize their crimes so we become desensitized.
