Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

A quick update on the technical progress with the MCLW: The taskforce has done some amazing work recently in regards to the MCLW, from simple typo fixes to complete refactoring in the code. As of last night one of them had a breakthrough with the MCLW while researching Connext interactions between the MCLW & Hub. It appears that BTC/ETH and BTC/LTC now have no technological bottlenecks to prevent them from working. HOWEVER, in an abundance of caution, we would like to continue code review and refactor of the connext interactions on the CLIENT, to ensure functionality is as intended and research ways of making channel creation more affordable. BTC/LTC does not use Connext, and as such can be released with supporting liquidity (and similar trade size restrictions to the BTC/XSN pair). The real question: "WHEN CAN WE USE WHAT WAS PROMISED?"As you can see below, significant progress has been made, and subsequent releases will hopefully demonstrate this progress. The forthcoming update will be the biggest patch for the MCLW to date, and as such, we have branded this "relaunch" of the MCLW the Lazarus patch. it will be a technologically more complete MCLW which brings the product a lot closer functionally to what was promised. "This is great and all but when is it coming"You already know the answer... When its ready. We all witnessed the launch issues the original build on the 10th had and do not wish to repeat the same mistakes that the launch had. https://t.me/StakenetUpdates/387

BTC/LTC pair has been enabled in the Dex. The task force has identified a critical-path feature set for the next major release (aka "Lazarus"). Please see below for details: - Required - 1. *Setup a staging/testnet hub for task force testing to allow for more efficient internal testing of BTC/ETH and BTC/LTC* - This hub may expand in use depending on testing & development need. Status: Initial hub setup is complete; minor configuration modifications still need to be made to connect the wallet to the hub directly 2. *BTC/ETH being fully debugged and launched on the MCLW* Status: Awaiting completion of testnet hub, to allow for additional internal testing of channel open/close/rental, etc. 3. *Translations covering 75% of the dex in a minimum of 3 languages.* Status: On track - 3 languages mostly complete with potentially more coming soon. Reminder - the Stakenet Cloud service will be shutting down February 28, 2022 in preparation for the chainswap. In order to ensure your funds are secured, you will need to withdraw all coins from the Stakenet cloud and self-custody them using the Core wallet or Multi-Currency Lite Wallet (MCLW/DEX). Liquidity providers are sick from boutade of scams like LUNA and tons of others that already brought this space to the edge. We cant risk trading in these scam chambers. Decentralization is a no panacea against one-man gatekeeping that most people tend to avoid. Its even worse. DEXes are much bigger risk than centralized counterparts. DEXes are not properly vested, run suspicious code and have massive room for exploits.

Tokenomics - HDX DAO Vote #10
We plan to distribute the DEX fees to HDX stakers - more details to be announced later with the Tokenomics release.
As it is pretty standard that one part of users lose access to their wallets over time, their unclaimed fees would get forfeited.
Therefore we have the following question: Should we move unclaimed fees back to the fees pool after a certain fixed period and distribute them back to active wallets (for example one year) ? If this vote ends positive, we will have a follow-up about the exact period. Show more:https://snapshot.org/#/hydranet.eth/proposal/0xa4da869b2417257bda389476c8d9514312f2bceb4d917cab47046e9a151999f5

Hydranet reached yet another longstanding milestone in July. It has only been 3 months since the Lazarus patch was launched publicly, and it is already reaching its EOL phase. Atlas, the next major update of Hydranet DEX, is now live in closed beta testing. Atlas features several major upgrades and overhauls to the DEX, among which are: Arbitrum integration, aETH, and HDX coin pairs, bot trading, and the implementation of Chainlink (and CoinMarketCap) into the pricing API. All this and more will be explained in further detail below! https://medium.com/@Hydranet/hydranet-monthly-recap-4-56af7f397d92
