Well people who typically HODL in this kinds of situations are people who are experiencing a loss, a paper loss at least. They don't have any choice but to hold their position as they are trap on a negative portfolio. Selling at this point is also not a good idea as you might not reach the ideal drop point because we don't know when exactly Bitcoin will drop. If you really have a trading plan then you will know what actions you will do in this kinds of situation. You don't have to be a whale in order to get rich.

Respect other people's decision where they believe by doing HODL on their coins will not end up losing especially that btc and alts are on bearish drop. It is their choice doing it and I don't think it is a stupid idea because when the recovery is back, surely btc and alts will be gaining back it's price value. If people tend to sell their coins at a cheaper price instead of holding it, then it will be considered a loss since you had bought it a bit higher than the current dip price.

i really do feel sorry for the people who bought crypto assets on a higher don't any disrespect for anyone but they had to know the risks that follow investing in cryptocurrencies because the market is still very new and unfortunately a lot of people attacking it  and hate it despite the fact that crypto technology is great and with lots of potential  but i hope there will come a time to them to know that crypto currency is way better as a financial assets than cash

In the market it is hard to predict the future. If you prioritize bitcoin over fiat, then HODL is a logic option. Price is dictated mainly by supply Vs demand ... to not sell makes bitcoin more scarce. In the other hand if you sell you can cut your losses in a short run, but at the same time you will accelerate the price drop ..

Patience is the key. I'm planning to HODL for at least 12 months so let's see if that doesn't work first. Perhaps, I should add another 12 months in the future.
