In my opinion, i think when the developers does not have any experience in creating a coin. There is a high chance that it might be not successful because of lack of the ability of the devs.

Let's make it simple mate, look out for is the team, whitepaper and community and the whitepaper can look good at times just to be able to get enough fund needed before they disappear into thine air. If they are not updating the project and they do not offer progress report and they are not answering inquiries about their roadmap, project, and platform and there are reports that they are banning people who questioned them, then better drop the Ico or do not invest at all transparency should be one of the thing that they uphold.

Just be honest. It was the most difficult thing for me to tell which Bounty was a Scam or not. For me everything is almost the same. But usually the Scam Bounty can be examined by yourself if you look at the conditions of the Project team. From there you will conclude whether the Project is Scam or not.
