but well.........can't complain tho if you finally get to make some nice btc from rvn.  just be weary of when dumps happen.

The main thing is that while we make money buying at the lower price and selling at the top price. I am sure that 90% of users and even no longer interested in the technology itself, but only profit in trade or mining.

Those interested in the tech were buying in the 300 sats range.  At over 1300 sats, this coin is priced like a much more established chain.  Many of the pumpers probably don't understand the market cap is artificially depressed due to the massive amount of coins that are still to be mined.  It will be difficult for the market to continue to support the current high dollar value of coins created per day.

RVN is kinda inflatory, but every day inflation relatively decreases. We are at cca 3 178 000 RVN minted, and 7 400 000 new RVN added every day, it means 0.23% "daily inflation", which is not that bad. If price decreases by this speed, nothing bad is going to happen. It used to be worse, when we were at half of the minted coins or even worse.. then new coins hitting market every day really depressed the price, but I think price and volume is so high right now that it absorbs new coins like nothing.

But it doesnt change anything on my opinion that price spike is mostly FOMO right now. Probably will cool down in 1-2 weeks and then we will see some decrease and when new features are added, another moon . But just my personal opinion, not any investors advice here. Impossibru at crypto

I'd say we're witnessing the old 'Buy the rumor, sell the news' situation.  Whenever "the news" drops, it will be hard to live up to the hype.  Unless they're announcing that Overstock will be sold on the Ravencoin blockchain to anonymous investors, I don't think this price will hold very much longer.

I was wanting to add RVN to my investment portfolio, but what was the reason for this high price? rumors ? Any new partners?

Some big guys involved and a promising road map as far as I know. Has been a sleeper for a while and there could also be things behind the scenes we don't know yet. Could also be a pump with not too many substantial news.

Just changed my windows client of Ravencoin wallet and thought necessary to share my experience. It is amazingly fast ho quickly blockchain syncs in matter of minutes. I didn't see something this quick before this will be helpful to many people those are coming now or will join later to sync whole chain within shortest possible time.

Nice one thanks. I was still on the first wallet after the Assets were added. I am 14 weeks behind. Estimate was 3 days to sync. The new wallet (I believe with assets indexing disabled by default) is now estimating 73 minutes. That is a bit better. Pays to spend time in the community to pick up these hints.

Now the test, as prices come off the highs. I've been mining, trading and holding RVN. Just added a few birds to my flock, hoping to trade them out on a rebound off these prices. Time will tell.

I'm sure they will.  This was the assumption that got RVN it's 300 satoshi value.  Maintaining the recent highs would have needed an announcement along the lines of, 'We are going to list Overstock shares for sale on tZero using Ravencoin's blockchain and will be paying out future dividends in RVN'.  I do not believe this will happen anytime soon, so it's buckle up your seatbelts and hope that the price holds in the 600 satoshi range once this correction comes to fruition.

I would not enter at such high price levels. Despite the fact that they promise in developing a price above 1300 satoshi is still speculation. Considering that before there were generally 250-300 sat.
That's when the price is slightly adjusted then we can buy a little.

Hm... yes ok cool story. I'm pretty sure the real reason is FOMO and maybe a little manipulation by whales here and there. This char is definitely not normal.
It reminds me of the difficulty chart when Ravencoin had first launched... 10 times up, then 10 times down! Come on... what happened to the HODL ?

...well there is the post by WickedPigeon a few posts up with the overstock article.
I did see a few posts on Brian Armstrongs twitter when he asked about new coins and Raven was mentioned a few times. Not by him by the way, and also not in a pushey way either like some of the others that were posting.

One of the previous pages shows this constant uptrend in Ravencoin price's move surprised some people. Main reason behind this is increased in hash along with creation of tokens. I can't give exact number but one of the tweet was containing the total number of created and active assets. This open source project has support of angle investors all this puts it in very good position. These small rounds of corrections are healthier.

Raven is just in the beginning of it's use case, the very beginning. While nobody can predict price movement, especially in Crypto, the long-term development and use case for RVN is very good. Lots of time left in the RVN Project. The future is long and opportunity will always be there.
