Having more coins will be helpful, having some for day trading and some as an investment for future will be a big help. I can't say that don't buy ethereum because the value of bitcoin is not that good and time to buy it I recommend that buying more BTC and ETH is more profitable both of them now are cheap and in the future  there will be more profit in them.

if I want to choose I will still invest in bitcoin although eth is considered to compete with bitcoin but will not go beyond bitcoin and its advantages from eth bitcoin easier to make payments for every transaction made to the world.

I would buy both. Bitcoin would be long term hold investment. And Ehtereum will be used for investing on ICO. Also Ethereum price is really low too. I think i will go up and bring you some profits.

Eth is certainly at one of it's lowest prices right now and purchasing either it or bitcoin will certainly make the buyers a lot of a profit whether they'll keep that for a long term or just reinvest it in some  ICOs , but i'll certainly go for the long term thing since things tend to clear up by the end of the year and i don't really have that much of time to being up to date with  ICOs and all the trading stuff .
That needs a lot of energy and time  , and i'm in lack of both .
Eth took a serious hit in this dump and this will just make it bounce even harder , it's just a matter of time until that happens and we are already seeing relief in the market's charts and overall market cap .
So my choice will certainly be to pick eth at the moment , and i'd say it's even safer than buying bitcoin which is still pretty expansive even at such low price.

The better investment is Bitcoin now a days and the best time to invest is the low market because getting more Bitcoin is easy in a low market that will cost you less and will save your money. Bitcoin is profitable in both cases when you buy it then it saves your money and when you sell it then it gives you huge returns.
