Hey base on the post I read today many people are hesitating to sell and panicking because of the bitcoin downfall that is happening today so I will just make this short and helpful (note to traders and holders that will comment here about my topic, that my top ideas is just basic but remember that we still have those people who do not understand this well)

HOPE THIS WOULD HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE PANICKING AND THINKING ABOUT IT TO MUCH.

1. Do not panic when market value is decreasing

2. Do not even think of selling you bitcoin or ethereum

3. Do not think about it to much, why? because it will rise like before it got really high and for that a man got a car ,a luxury to point that out. So maybe like him you will get rich BUT in a long term situation

Nice one. Though it should be pretty basic, people are having a hard time following what you've stated there dude because emotions can easily take over when you see your money dwindling down.  The part where you shouldn't invest what you can't lose is probably the best answer to those people panicking when the market is bearish. It's not an overnight thing guys.

Well some people just dont have a choice. They might have bills to pay and other needs, HODLing is just not an option for them

Just look at the market trends. Selling right now while the prices are low is madness, wait for the market to return in mid-2018 and then consider selling.

Good tips mate, many panic sellers are in this forum and outside. This thread may streamline them in the right way bro. Since I like these information I have shared 1 merit also for this post mate.

@people who want to how to get the merit. This is may a good thread getting merit but big but good guys. he hasn't created for getting merits but this can good merits for him I hope.

Op stated the basic which I consider as theoretical aspect of trade because when the practical sets in and as you said " your money dwindling down" , then comes emotion and panic not to lose all.

That is the reason experts always advice you should invest only spare money in high volatile products because sometime we may need to wait for quite long time to see profits in these investments. If you invest money which you need it immediately then your forced to sell at a lower price if prices go down after your investment.

Past history is only for reference because there is no hard and fast rule that in future also markets will follow the same way.

the best tip for most traders (specially those that are beginning their trading journey in cryptocurrency markets) is to stay away from trading whenever there is a downtrend like this going on. they can simply sell their coins (liquidate) and go back out to fiat and wait it out until the bear market has ended.
it is always harder to make profit in a bear market and it is much harder to make profit in a crypto bear market because of the manipulations and hardness of predictions.

I think the key is to hold through the crashes unless you are able to sell before the crash or very soon in the crash.

Selling in this case would just be to allow you to buy more as the price drops. For me, since I don’t keep much on the exchanges, I can’t make trades quickly.

I choose to just hold and ride it out even if the recovery takes a couple of years. I think it will be worth it in the long run.

One more thing that I wanted to add is to make plan (several plans, I must say) even before entering in a new trade or invest into something. Have different scenarios outlined in your mind and plan out what are the things that you should be doing if one of those scenarios becomes a reality. Yes, you can't plan all the possible events that might happen in the market but it is very important to have some counter measures to protect yourself from significant loss.

It is very hard to do this kind of thing, I know that very well, but you should take the extra effort if you don't want to lose your hard-earned money from a trade that has gone south. Being prepared minimize the risk that you take when enter the market.

Easily said than done. We are not robots. We are animals influenced by our emotions.

Bitcoin don't ever sell. Ethereum sell in the next pump. Hahaha.

That is also easily said than done. I have been checking Bitcoin's price at an average of 3 times per hour since I started holding some. I believe I am not the only one. Haha.

Yes, these are just the basics. At least, Op gave advice to those who are still new in cryptocurrency and may also be beneficial to those who are experienced enough in crypto world. But in reality, panic is a natural feeling when a situation is most likely in an uncertain circumstances.

Why not? If you've already gained enough profits. Then, why don't you sell your btc or eth? We can still buy them when the price is in dump stage. FOMO enters this kind of advice. But still, there are still settings that may be helpful and useful in other situations.

These are good steps. If you are Bitcoin user then you must be patient while investing and after investment so that you will not take wrong decisions because every quick decision must includes some impurities. Sell your coins for profit that is what an investor needs and for that the investor is trying day and bight to make decisions and work according to the rules and principal of Economics and trading in case of trading.

I think also every key in the market price decline is better to hold than to sell would be a risk of loss against us. so it's better to hold back and be patient so we can get a good profit in sales when the market price is back stable

These tips are very helpful, and I thank you for that on behalf of the newbies and average joes out there. However, there are some of them who cannot stop themselves from cashing out their altcoins to fiat currency due to important and emergency reasons, or something that they need to buy. For me, it’s just a normal thing to see the price dump so hard ever since the great Bitcoin crash last mid-January.
