While not a good situation for verge and those invested, you people realize that all companies living on the net have had to deal with hacks at some point or another right??? Verge team will learn from this I'm sure and they will fix it in short order.

The problem is not the hack, it's how the dev team reacts to it. They act like idiot basement kids that just got lucky with their shit coin.

Imagine you were in this situation and everything you have worked hard on especially now was being attacked how would you be stick handling it. easy to say from the peanut gallery. This team is gutted I'm sure.

That's what happens when an independent code audit is not performed. I sold my Verge.

cheers for selling into my buy orders ^_^.....

once this blows over verge will climb and fall again a few more times over.... profits to be made lol. @OCminer i think its time to close this thread down or atleast lock it.... pretty sure there is more then enough shite flowing now the cleanup is going to take awhile.

I was happy to unload my coins in your caring hands. 2.8 verge for every cardano. Works perfect for me, THANK YOU

Why? I'am pretty sure there are a lot of other miners still interested in all that info .... And the hack is still actual, not?
As long as the issue is NOT finally fixed this thread should not be locked or closed!

I never buy XVG because it is hyped by Mcafee, how can XVG be really useful? At least I don't see the the usefulness of XVG, XVG will be dumped soon.

Just to name a few in recent memory Sony, JP Morgan, Home Depot, can go on and on.
I remember that Home Depot press release that said, "Hey, everyone gets hacked. We're kind of glad it happened. No big deal."

Several mining friends we have met with their pool for XVG and also we have channels in Telegran we can attract more people.

Please check your Pool that it is ok, it does not show the global Hashrate of XVG and I do not know if there will be more problems. If your pool is good we can take many miners with XVG only we can promote it

Yiimp can not be entered, it is saturated ... If you keep well and everything works well we will support you

We are worried because in the information of XVG the reward is wrong, only 15 coins, You can review it

locking the thread will slow down the amount of abuse getting thrown around towards devs and OCminer. the info is there for all to see and no longer needs multiple newbie shills/trolls/haters repeatedly commenting on how its a shitcoin etc.... nothing constructive just shills or hate... when it gets to that point the thread should be locked.

Not illigal
Expensive bug bounty

illegal *

And if there's a bug in the code that allows hackers/thieves  the ability to go against the consensus rules of the chain, that would be considered illegal creation of coins as they did not follow the rules laid out in the code.

They are neither hackers nor thieves, nor was the creation of coins illegal, in fact it was done with accordance to the consensus rules of the chain, otherwise it would be impossible to do.
You can't have decentralized pros without its cons.

So if I hack you using some Windows flaw, hey, too bad, it was done with the consensus of the code cuz otherwise it wouldn’t have been possible.

Brilliant.

i have been mining XVG long ago, but i am holding some right now. i wish that person dont dump the parket. Also probably the DEVs are working to cover this up but he may not be sharing with others. emergency fork DEVs did is just reduction of that time to slow down the attack. as i see the details in the first post it looks like the threat is not over and just slowed down (sorry i cannot read all the pages of the thread)

from the maturity of XVG it does not look that they are group of teens, in last 4 years of XVG they may have grown up Tongue (kidding)

LOL!  ikr...

So anyway I'm throwing 2sats in here because it kind of annoys me to have witnessed the situation first hand on discord...   I've seen a ton of miners lately complain about supernova calling it a scam.. and vouched for ocminer many times to the point of it getting on my nerves slightly like... guys... contact him if you're having an issue.. he's a very helpful dude and I promise you he's NOT scamming anybody lolz..

I've also been a long time fan of dogecoindark/XVG and the community surrounding it... Wink

I think this entire situation was blown way out of proportion and I understand op's point of view but it should have been handled in pm's with the dev imo.   Also... notice it hasn't really affected price much for those that actually care about short term things like that Tongue

To XVG Attackers

This is an open invitation from Team of Dero, to try to attack Dero network/Blockchain

Dero has already successfully fended off 3 attacks, and is challenging XVG attackers to move their operations to Dero blockchain instead Wink

p.s. I'm not a team member.

It is natural cryptocurrency attracts hackers and attacks just like every other business.

Thanks to  ocminer, For exposing the attacks.

Disclaimer: Dero fan with brain.

So I see people that want to takeover this interesting topic to advertise their coins...

I also can say that the exploit that happened was a good coin burn Smiley

So If people that exploited the bug (talking about everybody that mined some coins with it in the last 24 hours) can be happy about it, why bag holders can't?
