Soros etc. investor masses seem to have created a positive atmosphere in entering the market, but I think we will see fluctuations in the long run under the influence of more speculative movements. I hope this does not cause any more insecurity.

They did created a positive encouragement or maybe they are really the one who are responsible for the quick pump that happened.

Insecurity has been there so expect that there are people who will statement that bitcoin is still a risky investment. These people are really crazy even many are trusting bitcoin now.

I also think that year 2018 may be the year of the whales and speculators. There is a substantial increase in the number of such large investors in comparison to previous years and this could adversely affect the market.

Good news but market is dropping - why? When reversal?

it is a little bit reversed already but still too early to say that bearish trend is over. there are so many way till we can consider to be in bullish market. we can just start to hope that it is closer than before  Smiley.
I will not think that trend is changed till i see bitcoin over 10k usd again.

All the elite have already accumulated.
By hearing they are investing it is FOMO to grow their own holdings, until they dump and buy a larger % at lower prices, and have a larger piece of the pie, over and over again.

Also I think these are playing with us. They have accumulated Bitcoin ether etc ... now they would like to command the crypts as they do with the bag
  But we will win

The news is very strong. If these investors are coming in the crypto world - it means a lot. Such people will not invest in a dummy.

I am not quite sure if I will take this with a heavy heart or with a happy composure since Soros does have a reputation. Also Billionaires with all their money, just wants more money and I think entering the realm of crypto would do more damage than good on this platform. Be careful.

I think Soros and other influential people have already purchased cryptocurrency. And now they are making news, thereby want to provoke the growth of cryptocurrencies, which will cause interest in traders to invest in cryptocurrencies. These people will not be engaged in charity, the goal is always the same, it is to make money .

Most people underestimate that guy.

If he was going to buy some stock, would he let the retail market know ahead of time?

So he could get a worse price? Why would he do that.

I am thinking he is either already in and wants price to rise a little bit more so he can get out and is trying to pump it.

Or he is just doing it to promote his fund and potentially get more business. Because people are crazy with anything that has the word "blockchain" in it.

I think Soros will get into large market cap coins like the Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or ETH.

You made a good point. He is old and experience and knows all the tricks in the books. By riding the popularity of bitcoin and blockchain, he might look good for young investors and potentially get them on his business and will result in a instant boom and profit on his end.

He probably was in when the price hits bottom and now he is pumping it just like what other influencer is doing. Pumping it in a good way so that he can make more profit and then make his decision to continue or not.

George Soros is getting into crypto! To be precise, Adam Fischer got the approval at New York-based Soros Fund Management to trade virtual coins.
This is particularly interesting knowing that Soros called Bitcoin a bubble in January. Maybe the recent fallings in the crypto market changed his mind?
Also, I wonder how much will the legendary speculator will influence the decisions made in this field.

So here is the question: what could influence the price more, just his words or the growth of Bitcoin capitalization caused by his invesments?

At first glance,we all know about these "whales" who manipulate the price just buying huge amounts of Bitcoins and alts.
But still the market in its current state is really subject to significant changes after each rumor is spread or sombody's opinion shared.
It's just a human nature.

Not just Soros, Rockefeller family also want to invest in the crypto and has signed a partnership with Coinfund which is a cryptocurrency investment fund.
Of course, this is not surprising. They know how to manage their money and how to invest.
They are just a bunch of hypocrites, they criticize bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and now that they're seeing that they can make money in this market they are investing in it, which show to us that those persons are not people with strong principles they only care about money and nothing more.

if george soros will join the crypto market, it is a good news for the market. because in such a case, money will flow to the market. If money comes, liquidity increases. this would be a healthy situation for the market

When Soros got into Gold it dipped a lot. So let's hope that the same will not happen with cryptos. :/
