You have some points there. The market depends on how bitcoin goes, if its going down all of the coins are affected. Not sure, but I think the whole cryptocurrency would not survive without BTC, it serves as a pillar that once out everything will crumple.

Bitcoin's movement pattern influences and determines the movement of the whole market. If Bitcoin disappears and has never existed, Crypto may never appear. Everyone knows Crypto because Bitcoin has become an economic investment phenomenon, so Bitcoin decides everything in the Crypto market.

Yes you're right,, as a matter of fact this down fall of bitcoins price was intention by some big group of investors as the whales are riding because no matter what tge price is as long as they can make profits on it. Crypto without bitcoin is nearly impossible because nothing will be secured as bitcoins and blockchain. So if crypto without bitcoins is more on money making and not its future use.

Without bitcoin, the future would simply be private blockchains run by private institutions on the set of trusted servers that they decide. So instead of trustlessness, we'll be offered distributed-trust or something.

It is not feasible for another network, code-base or user-base to simply replace and start doing what bitcoin has been doing for almost 10 years now. Bitcoin is also the most held and most distributed crypto out there. It's the settlement currency of cryptocurrencies. Imagining a crypto market without bitcoin wouldn't be possible as all those people wouldn't simply stop using it altogether.

There was bitcoin without other cryptos and it can still exist on its own. On the other hand, there can be no crypto ecosystem without bitcoin.

No one can tell you what will happen next if Bitcoin will truly vanish but for as long as it's there then Cryptocurrency are all good as most of the Altcoins are Bitcoin dependent but I read some articles that most of the Altcoins right now are making a move to make an USD pair to different exchanges with their respective coins and that's may be a good news for them as they will not be more reliant of Bitcoin, the future really relies on what is the present and that is so good with Bitcoin so I can't think of any reason for its failure as of now. Don't overthink too much.

no "major investor" can prevent death of anything. if anything is to die, it will die.
bitcoin won't die and instead will grow bigger and stronger every day even if the price doesn't show it at times only because it has lots and lots of investors, small and "major" that are creating a huge demand for bitcoin which is always there to buy it and use it. and this comes from the real usability of bitcoin in real world outside of exchanges and speculation.
that is not true for any altcoins out there that is why they will die if bitcoin ceases to exist.

Yes Bitcoin is the leader of cryptocurrency but I strongly believe that there will be a time wherein the altcoins will not be dependent on Bitcoin. In the future, everyone can but altcoins without the need to buy Bitcoin first and trade it. There will be exchange sites and wallet where you can buy altcoins using USD.

It would, of course, be very interesting to see how the crypto-currency market will behave without bitcoin. Probably, this will just give the price freedom for each type of crypto currency. Now, after all, the situation with the influence of the price of bitcoin on all altkoins and the market is difficult to name. What is the market, if there is no price freedom for trade. The bitcoin has fallen in price and the market has been completely up for the fourth month. This is absolutely not normal. Something needs to be tried to change to change such an abnormal situation.
