More than Iceland for champion was because Argentina couldn't finalize their chances and in the second half they had a lot and closed Iceland in their own area. Messi losing the penalty was the key event which caused Argentina to not win today, still I saw a great squad and I think Argentina will go far this year. Only bad luck held them today to a draw.

Peru-Denmark, much more interesting match now. Denmark scored and now Peru need to play more offensive, they have to score a goal if they want to keep good chance for qualification in next round. They are pushing forward, had some great chances but still didn`t score. Playing more offensively, they leave more space to Danish for counter attacks. And one more missed penalty shoot today. Really unfortunate for Peru.
Croatia is favorite in match against Nigeria. I think that real battle will take place for second place in group D between Croatia and Iceland.

Iceland vs Argentina game was not boring... It was quite entertaining, although the performance by Argentina was very dull. But you can't compare any of these matches to yesterday's Spain vs Portugal. That match was a real classic...

5-0 who would think?! Russia showed good itself on the first game, but I think their game and general enthusiasm will go down with each match. I guess it simply was the greatest pressing from Putin and team to show perfect themselves on the first match.

I also didn’t have expected that much goals from Russia because it is the team which is seen very less in the FIFA. Anyways what can we do because it happened as Russia won against Saudia Arabia 5-0? If that will be the spirit of team Russia then I think saying this that the team will soon lose their spirit in coming matches would be an insane thing.

What a poor performance from Argentina i can't belive this match is going to end up as a draw. This clearly shows how bad the team plays if messi doesn't play the match they can't do shit. Gg to iceland they played really good.
France also winning their match against Australia pretty convincingly

It's good to see these guys without messi, so that the team coach could determine exactly what disadvantages they need to improve with other players. Sometimes poor performances really depends on the coordination of the team, yet some emotional factors affects the confident of every player, because they're used to it that messi was on their side of every game. Definitely when compared to France, they'll doing it great due to closer team play, and most of their player were in synchronized set play so the winning possibilities came over to them.

I did only see one part of Spain vs Portugal, but what a match! A hattrick from Ronaldo  .

Not the best start of Argentina, but it shows that you should never underestimate Iceland.

Spain vs Portugal was the best match so far. There were 6 brilliant goals in there and Ronaldo made a hattrick. Argentina is a good team with bad start and I wish they will go better the next game.

Of course, everyone is eager to win this prestigious event. So even the underdogs are in par with those high ranked football players. The performance was good but the defense lhad many holes and the mistakes were fatal as usual
The goalkeeper for Iceland made great game stopping  more than a shot including a Leo Messi penalty.
I think the reason for the draw was that Argentina spent a lot of energy on trying to break through the middle of Iceland, which presented a match for history for them but needed to create and play on sides . Di Maria should not be subbed out and Dybala should have been in the game because all of the defense of Iceland was focused on Messi so with Dybala infield he could create some liberty for Messi or they can switch the play on him

I never vowed with Iceland that could withstand the onslaught of Argentina, they have a very solid defense. I see in 90 minutes many chances that Argentina should be able to make a goal but that does not happen. And what is interesting is Messi, I think this is not his day for Messi to make a goal.

Argentina vs Croatia will vw interesting game, probably for first place in the group. If Croatia win they will be first and Argentina will have to struggle for second place with win against Nigeria and only if Croatia win Iceland, tricky group and a lot of difficulties for Argentina on the start of world cup. Messi is just one player and football is the team game.
Good start for France with win against Australia, Denmark and France will take first and second place, probably the game between this two teams will decide who will be on the first and who on second place.

Yep agreed with you, it's not only about the goals but also other things like shot on goal, pinalty, missed pinalty, drama, VAR and many else. Argentina vs Iceland yesterday was entertaining though with messi that missed the pinalty and iceland defense that really hard to break.

Hopefully Argentina wont win any games in the group stage LOL, I think I have said many times that Argentina wont win any titles if Messi is still on the main squad. I will support Argentina once Sampaoli prefer to use Dybala although it seems impossible at the moment. Very unfortunate a team with so many star players could not give the best for their country.

As for now the biggest winner of Mundial is VAR technology.Works great and will be much more in use in next games.Tomorrow we can have some goals in a game between Poland and Senagal.Polish main central defender is injured will not play that game .Attack is in fine form.Current Poland is not only Lewandowski there are also new young talented players.Senegal is similar.Attack is great defense not so much.So i think we can see about 4 goals even

Yes that was a fantastic match between the two teams, all the 6 goals were good but if we talk about the last goal, it was really a superb, which not even entertain the viewer but also draw the match with 3 equals. I think that we will see so many other good matches and will entertain us much more, because still plenty of matches are there to play.

This wasn't the fifa i was waiting for why is the score so low i want matches like Spain vs Portugal.
Denkmark defeated peru 1-0, Croatia defeating Nigeria 2-0 and another boring  match and not really thrilling happened
Though the match I'm looking foward to is Germany vs Mexico, I'm sure that Germany is going to win this match without any doubt but i hope they add more goals to their side

What a boring match Costa Rica vs. Serbia was!
Not much happened despite that wonderful free kick that Kolarov took and converted it into a goal. Expected a little bit more from Costa Rica, but it is what it is we move on. Can't wait for Brazil and Switzerland tonight though, thrilled for the match!
