Very intense matches yesterday. Looks like the underdogs gave the favorites a hard time. Spain managed to pass 1st of group with Portugal as second. Once again both Spain and Portugal failed to punish their inferior opponents, the teams didn't look solid enough to win a World Cup but like someone said, don't understimate them. Spain in 2010 was a mess at the beginning and got better after the few couple of games, then ended up winning the world cup.

VAR was useful to determine the second goal and coupled with Ronaldo failing to score the penalty Spain ended up first at the last moment when Iran scored theirs. It was pretty crazy.

On to the climax of Group B, I expect Spain & Portugal to win their games.

I expected the same but, both results (1-1 and 2-2) ended up being very entertaining. Portugal were on the verge of getting KO'd, and Iran was inches away from winning and qualifying to the next round. On the other hand, Spain had a terrible game today, especially De Gea, this guy can't be in the starting lineup in the next game (or for the rest of the WC), period.

I find it funny how De Gea is considered the best goal keeper in the world maybe (after Manuel Neuer for me though) and has received the best goal keeper award a few times in a row while playing for Manchester United in the Premier League for most clean nets and still makes rookie mistakes in the World Cup. I think it's open season for goalie blunders lol (just look at Karius  )

He's a good GK, but he's been pretty bad in this WC (3 games, 5 goals, 1 save). But, to be fair, it's not just him who's been shit but also the entire defence (a lot of mistakes), and the midfield (Iniesta and Silva are too old to be playing 90min)...overall, there's no time to give the players another chance, the manager needs to make some changes to the starting lineup or they'll get KO in the next round (even though I consider Russia a weak team, I believe they can beat this Spain).

So far it would seem that the bookies have been right so far, all the teams which were supposed to qualify from group A and B have successfully qualified. For today's matches, I am hoping for and upset, especially in group D, where either Nigeria or Iceland qualify instead of Argentina. To be honest Argentina have been poor so far, and I don't think they deserve to qualify. In group C we know France has gone through, so last possible spot is between Australia and Denmark, but Denmark just need a draw which could be easier to attain, but their opponent is the strongest in the group.

It's a dead or alive game for Argentina and I'm sure this game will be so interesting to behold. Argentina with its experiences will probably give their best performance in this game, I wish!

Argentina are in a bad phase at this year's World Cup. Argentina like losing power when they have many players who qualified and also very achievers in the European continent. Lionel Messi is the best player in the world, but he is not showing his best performance. The magical touch he possessed seemed meaningless. Argentina need 3 points in the last game and they should also look forward to the other team matches. Specifically then I want to highlight the figure of a coach. I do not think it has the qualities to build the skill and confidence of Argentine players.

However bad times they may be going through, they are better in football than nigeria and Argentine players would do all they can to gain a win. But there round of 16 would be much more difficult as they are likely to meet France. France or Argentina is a difficult choice in the group of 16.

Another very interesting game is Iceland - Croatia where I am gonna bet Both teams to score. For Denmark - France I am going with Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals and a side bet - France to win FT. And I like HT 0-0 for Australia - Peru and FT Draw.

The players and Argentine fans were frustrated with the coach's choices for the team and they have internally decided to let messi choose his team for this game. I hope that would be better for the morale as well as balance of the team. We would want Argentina play further.

Draw for Australia wont be good for them as they have to win with good goal difference and Denmark have to lose the match then only Australia will qualify. For France no problem even if they go for draw they are in next level. so i think France game will go under  2.5 goal and draw and Australia game will go over 2.5 goal and over 1.5 goal half time both bet are risky

Actually, it's tough to predict because every single team is.llooking strong.But I think Brazil might win their 6th world cup title on Russia.Brazil is on tremendous form and  this team have some super quality player's who can change any match any time.We know brazil showed good performance on qualifying matches.So overall, I think Brazil can bring the title to home once again.

I agree with you 100%. It was not Messi's lack of form, but Sampoli's arrogance which cost them the first two matches. This guy seems to be having some personal enmity with Paulo Dybala.

Today all matches for group a,b,c has been completed where peru defeated Australia 2-0 which doesn't make any difference at all. Congrats to Russia, Uruguay, Spain, Portugal, France and Denmark for reaching round of 16.

Currently Denmark is facing France which isn't a big deal as both teams have already qualified but if Denmark wins they secure the top spot in their group.

yes, this is a decisive match for Argentina. if the Argentine team wants to qualify for the next round, then it should win this match with a Nigeria but the Nigerian team has more chances to advance to the next round as Nigeria's previous game had a 2-0 win over Iceland while Argentina have never experienced a victory in two previous matches.

No effort to take the first place from the Danish players at all. I hope we will see much more action in the late games tonight especially when the stakes are so high for Argentina. Yeah it was a boring game but they had several chances to scores some goals. Nigeria needs point and so does Argentina so this means both team will be going all out right from the start. To be honest, I dont really like Argentina's Team therefore Im rooting and betting for Nigeria +0 in this bet. Denmark could've finished in first place, but it seems like they didn't care. Tbh, both teams qualified to the next round early so they probably didn't have any motivation to play this game for real, they were just trying avoid injuries / yellow and red cards.

Still, a lot of fans attended this match expecting to see a good show, not the worst match in the WC (and the first 0-0) :/
