I am pretty sure Germany is going to defend its title this year. The last games showed how competitive they still are; assuming they will play even better at the tournament since germans are best when there is something to win.

They don't have any choice but to defend it. Imo they won't successfully defend their title this year because the last time a team won back to back on the World cup was between 1960 to 1970.

While the herd mentality would support Germany I would not be sure they'll win it. If you see the recent friendlies I feel Spain has a team that is capable of winning it, they're in top form and I would expect them to go the distance. England won't win at all lol, they're yet many years away from building a winning team.

most people will excited to watching every matches in this competition but i personally expect England can do more in this world cup although pretty heavy and most of their opponents in the group phase is pretty strong but there is a chance to them goes to next round because the stronger opponent in group G only Belgium i think

This World Cup without Italy and the Netherlands is missing some of the important teams of worldly football. I think that the under dogs will win this time the World Cup, probably England can be called an under dog as they are not winning anything from quite a lot of time now. If I were to place a bet for who would win the World Cup I would risk to bet on England this time and Portugal being my second option cause I believe this is the last World Cup for Ronaldo.

There is no fun in predicting the winner,as the old men said,Journey is always enjoyable than the end result.As long as gambling is concerned,I'm pretty sure no one would start betting on the winner predictions even before the 2nd qualifying rounds.
If I have to predict a winner unrealistically,I'd go with Germany.

If you are looking at history you wont see a team winning them back to back in the near future, but in the past Italy and Brazil have won the title back to back, may be it is time for Germany to win their back to back titles, looking at the performance they have the team to defend it, i like to see the chances of Argentina and Portugal, Messi vs Ronaldo .

I think the most powerful team in Russia is Germany and maybe they can keep the Trophy world cup. But defending champions is a more difficult thing so it could be Germany's trouble. Argentina are also still good but their performance in the last few games is not convincing. I hope there will be a surprise in the World Cup like Portugal will win in the last Euro.

I'll be on Germany to win their group at around -335. 
Germany seems to be a sure shot that they advance.
Unless Mexico somehow pulls off a huge upset, I see no reason why things will change this WC in Russia.

Far too early for discussions! We're still in the thick of the tail-end of national leagues, not to mention both European cups - expect lots of drama from there. Coaches will be fired and appointed ahead of June, players will be named and some dropped, injuries etc. So yeah, too early to make bets now unless you're like me and like tipping an underdog like Iceland to go far (skybet has 150/1 on them just reaching the final!).

I'm also going to attempt a mini betting pool or two for WC. Bitcoin's about to wake up again so pot might just end up huge at the end of the final. Just keep your eyes peeled, my lovelies!

Too early for prediction though but i think germany has a good chance as usual but no one knows. No one ever know Portugal can won Euro 2016 and i hope we will see another shock result on FIFA world cup 2018. My favourite is England though and i hope at least they can go to semi-final.

Maybe french, flashed french in my mind. Do not know for sure who will be the champion because I also do not really follow the development of soccer now. Need to do research first to make predictions. Good luck!

so why is most of these prediction based on countries in europe?

Did you can see what happened in the last quarter final CL Barca vs Rome  and Real madrid vs Juve?

Both two spanish giant almost got eliminate by these two other italian team!
Sadly, the referee had to apply football politic's in the match against juve in order not to loose the number's of fan's who will be helding to watch the final competition.

To them semifinal and final competition's will be non-profitable biz without these two team.

So, my prediction goes to any country in Africa. Probably Nigerian's because they are having one of the young/fast growing soccer team in Africa.
