I don't think that Ethereum is officially dead. It is still the widely used and preferred by ICOs so even if the value is down at the moment I think it will still come back in the future. This already happened with bitcoin and other altcoins out there.

So ETH is not dead because it's being used. This is the year that ETH has been most used in smart contracts. BUT!!! this is the year that the coin has had less value if you relate value vs utilization.

ETH is dead. I´ll tell you why.

1º because it does not exist any market, (not even this), that can increase value due to manipulation (December 2017), and you can think of that occuring another time.

2º It's dead because the more the year goes, the less value bulls are able to hold from the coin.

- after the big fall of January-February, it went to 800$.
- Bulls could not keep that price, and after that, a decline is clear, reaching 470$ and still market cannot pump the price up. There is noone willing to do it.  

3º ETH is dead, because it's value from January has gone down 67% and capitalization is just ridiculous considering what it had just 6 months ago

4º Vitalik has already announced PoS (Casper) and it's going to be implemented soon with sharding.The reward is going to be reduced fro 3 to 0,6 ETH per block. This actually means IT WILL NOT BE PROFITABLE TO MINE IT. And where are those enormous amounts of GPU's going to go??? ETH is holding those GPU. With ETH off the market, every single coin profitable today will be destroyed. MIners will be almost dead, and the developpement of blockchains will be crashed since noone will be able to create that net.

5º the less value ETH has, the more Network hashrate it gets. This is INSANE!!!Today we are on record. 253.000GH yesterday we only had 240.000. So in less than 24hours, 13.000Gh have appeared of nowhere. That's about 433.333 30mh/s ready GPU!!!!!!!! are you Fu--.-.-cking kidding?¿???

Not only ETH is dead. Everyone investing in it is also dead. You´ll all regret bying the coin. You are destroying your life.
