I use Ethereum to pay for transactions when I send ERC20 tokens from my wallet, as well as for investing in ICO. I think that Ethereum is not suitable for investing in it, until the problem of network scalability is resolved.

For me, I am using it for investment purposes and an asset and where it is applicable I use it as a currency to pay for goods and services. Mostly though I am just buying ethereum when the price is low and holding for the long term for the prices to go back up again before I can sell them and take out the profit which I make and then repeat the process all over again. You can hold it for long term investment like bitcoin because its one of the most reliable crypto out there. You can use it for trading because most trading sites uses bitcoin and ethereum.

Basically I used ethereum for trading. Meaning I sell my other altcoins for ethereum and convert it with fiat. I also use it and bitcoin as well for investment purposes like I buy some altcoins with it and do short trading, I also use it for participating with few icos. I intend to hold ethereum for long term hold to make it grow more and make gains out of it.
