The time is really great for ICO to start. Currently the price of cryptos are low. By the time the ICO collects money, the price would soar and hence provide large bonus for ICO at the time of cashout. Increasing it's profitability which in return increasing the profit of investors.

now the market is moving up, a good indication for all ICOs, ICO must work diligently to convince investors. I think not all ICOs will work this year.

I'd mostly blame the ICOs for current bear. We will need proper regulation of ICO to boost both the ICO and cryptocurrency market. Still to date more than 2/3 of ICO are scam to most extent. And authorities would have no choice but to crackdown on them.

I believe so, this bear market months is a good challenge for startups to raise good funding. But no matter how the market performs at the moment it don't matter as long as the project is feasible it will still attract potential investors.

This year should be really good for icos, with the kind of awareness and clampdown happening via social media sites etc., should to some extent give a chance to the genuine projects, plus the market situation too is in their favor. The most important thing to remember is icos are here to stay!

Yes, this year is not very good. The national level does not allow it. The fight is inevitable and it will last for at least one year. At the same time, ico does have many drawbacks. If there is no improvement, no one will believe it again. The risk is too high.

I believe that 2017 was best for ICO's because last year most of these ICO's collected lot of money and they used to hit hard target quite easily. But now due to many governments ban on these ICO's and social media advertisements ban made their life difficult to market and raise money from investors. I think slowly these ICO's lose investors interest because of a lot of scams and government regulations. I still like to buy some good coins than tokens.

Social media banned ICO ads, and lots of other media also warning against ICO, and i understand why i observed that more than 50% ICO never hit in the exchange. Means they take the money and run. And investor cannot do anything about it. It's happening again and again. That's why ICO bound to fail soon or later.

Well looking at the whole cryptocurrency market, its all going down so we can never say its if its good or not. Most of the people already encountered icos that are not really promising and are bound to fail so people now are very vigilant in onvesting into icos. So i think overall its good for promising icos this year.

I believe the ICO market will grow and continue to grow. I believe the growth of ICO is seen from the number of successful new ICO and gives many opportunities for the success of ICO in the future. besides that, there are so many ICO that has an interesting concept.

its difficult to know when is good time or bad for ICO and market.
u dont know ICO will be scam or not, same as market u dont know it will up or down.
but for ICO, i think its good for us when they use eth as base price of exchange rate. If they use $ as base price then convert to eth for investing, it will be bad for us when eth price go down but it also good if eth price rise than price we bought

New ICO will have a hard time surviving this year because many regulators are already alarmed by so many scam incidents worldwide. I won't be surprise of one day the regulators in each country will banned ICO that will not comply with their rules.

ICOs were very popular last year and they were hitting hardcap easily but with the current major bearish market, the reverse is the case. I think when  the market starts to recover, ICO will get popular again most especially the solid ones.

Facebook,Google and Twitter banning ICO ads isn't really a problem they can still promote their ICO here in the forum and on other websites that provides good traffic. It's good that the media warns people about ICO because not all are successful and could give you profit they should also be aware of the risks.

In any trading market the qualification to say if this is bad or good year ICO needs a comparative data to come up with the possible projection/speculation for the future of the said ICO. Volatility on the market is one think that no one can predict. Market react on the bad or good news about Crypto currencies.Base on the market preview posted on the treed, this the good timing to buy when prices are low, and with increase volume of Trading it is better for the market investor. Still to early to qualify whether  it is a good year for ICO. Once the issue on Regulation address by the Government agencies of its country it will a good indicator for the market.

It is not that bad, its only there are too many ICO's. many ICO's causing many competition occurred.
And of course, resulting many ICO's failed. Only the real will end successfully.
