According to Smith & Crown, 190 ICO are scheduled for next month, and this figure is growing every day. Such an indicator can not be compared with the ten ICO conducted in January 2017. Many experts believe that 2018 will be a watershed for the entire ICO industry.

2018 should be very good for new ICOs, with that kind of awareness and clampdown that happens via socials sites and etc should give a chance to the genuine projects.

Icos have not be playing well this year generally. It might still favour icos but it depends on the msrket2. In a bullish market icos will do well

I do think they will earn significantly less this time around, but even half of last year would not count as a bad year imho.

The market is starting to recover. Everything will actually depend on what events will occur this year. Remember when the DNS hack happened recently, it greatly affected the market demand. So, one major event can change the market flow easily.

With so many companies disabling ads for ICOs, it could be a bad year for them since they won't be able to advertise themselves as freely as they would want to. But keeping that factor aside, I don't think it will be a bad factor for ICOs at all. As more and more people are now investing in the market, the total investment is increasing. Once people get bored of investing in bitcoin, they would move to other coins definitely.

I still believe that ICO is still very profitable, some ICO even make their investors rich suddenly, in my opinion, not because of ICO, but that is because the less experienced developers and some ICO only for the personal benefit of the developers.

The market is starting to recover and bitcoin is also striking high again as well as altcoins so there is no reason for us to doubt about some icos to succeed this year. Some unexpected things are yet to come and we must just be positive about it. Crypto is unpredictable and is full of surprises.

Last year ICOs were really strong and raised a lot of money. This year is a lot slower  for now, but I think that this is because of the market decrease.
IMO ICOs will be really strong this year as well as long as the market is green and people are willing to invest.

ICO companies really needs to do a great job of convincing people of their integrity,  due to losses  from scam ICO in the later part of 2017. I believe it's time for regulation to be put in place for icos. If possible get them to drop collateral. If these can be done, I see ICOs flourishing this year

judging by the fact that the market is too volatile, the market of young projects will not be as fast as last year
