One of my antminer s1 upgrade kits isn't working. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is showing 4 chains in the miner status. Please help:

From what I have been reading, the most common thing is to make sure you update to the latest firmware. Or it wont work at all.

The 1st Batch of AntMiner S4 is 1,450 USD per unit (excluding shipping), with dispatch estimated September 29th. Batch 1 will go on sale at 22:00pm Sept. 25th Beijing (UTC +8 Time Zone)

Very expensive!  (

So disappointing that they are also now charging shipping separate, I will stick with the S3's for now until the price becomes more reasonable.

ahhhh

Profits are very slim now

At least better than Neptune $2000 GH

^^^^ The latest firmware has the frequency select blank. You need to set and save, reboot.

Thank you. Details on how/where to do that please?

Status tab

then Miner configuration

then Advanced Settings (grayed out til you click it)

Thank you.

Yes I updated to the latest firmware. I have 2 upgrade kits, the first one worked fine. This one isn't working at all. I suspect it has something to do with the 4 chains it is showing. It's only supposed to show 2 chains. Or atleast my one that works only shows 2 chains:

I'm also sticking with the S3.  Trouble is Bitmain is refusing to comment much on when the next batch will be released.  Got a feeling this will also have a sting in the tail.  Shame really because I'm waiting to order.

Also, Umisoo is where the Bitmain hashnest is operating from.

I don't think Bitmain have our best interests any more. On the hashnest site they're pricing an S3 at 1.13 btc.

So they're charging huge amounts to ship direct and a fraction of the amount to ship the miner to THEIR mining farm.

I can see a change in my miners soon. Spondoolies here I come.

Is there anybody that  seriously believes at this price the S4 will achieve a positive ROI  Huh

Not me, I'm not ordering.

If considering buying an overpriced S4 heed this advice  Grin

The S4 are cheaper then we paid for the S2 and I have achieved ROI on all my Bitmain equipment.   Th 1295 price with coupon is not a bad price.  You will fined free shipping on a heavy device by any seller is getting very unusual.  Not the norm any more.

Just my 2 Cents.

Bitmain, I received my two S1 upgrade kits today. Awesome job on the quick shipping and being very well packed. The only issue I have is that I didn't receive thermal paste. I'm going to try to find some around town in the morning, but off hand I don't know of any place. Could you send me some? It sucks I won't have them up and running tonight.

If you used the max option in the pull down menue, under 208V, it seems to pull about 420-430W on 80 plus GOLD PSU.

but OC VOIDS WARRANTY and may or may not be a good idea.

You might want to try updating to the S3+ firmware

S1 upgrade kit uses S1 control card that has the frequency set to 350Mhz.

These upgrade kits need lower frequency to hash.

You can download the firmware from bitmain website at

https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/antMiner_S320140826.bin

then, log into your web control panel, go to, SYSTEM tab, and Upgrade tab

Please UNCHECK "keep previous setting" and apply fresh upgrade

Hope this will help!!
