IOTA have innovation they create their own technology called the "tangle" which is different from the blockchain where most of the cryptocurrency are using today. There is no chain and there is no block , Tangle has it unique scalabilty feature it is a combimation of IoT and their tangle network. Although there are still no solid evidence on how secure is their network. Comparing to EOS, IOTA is better in terms of technology.

they both scale

They  both sacrifice a little bit of decentralization  for  scalability

Which  one  to choose  and  why?

From a solely speculative point of view, I'd go with EOS for more profit in the short run.

To me, any Larimer projects, whether BTS, STEEM or now EOS gets hyped really easily. And when EOS main net launches that's going to be no exception. Price is going to go through the roof for sure, and investing now is still a good buying point as not many people know about EOS still.

IOTA has already been pumped, I think it's the better long term investment because of its plans of getting anonymity integrated into its network. But for now, the software is buggy and not a lot of people use IOTA which means confirmation speeds are slow, so getting IOTA hyped up is honestly very difficult.

There are no doubt about that EOS is the better one. Higher rank, higher price and at the moment EOS is pumping while IOTA is dumping  Grin. But at this time IOTA is a better choice to ivnest in cause IOTA price is dumping so you can buy it now and wait for the next pump but invest in EOS atm is a little bit risky if you just want to invest for shortterm cause it's already pumped.

I also see IOTA still has good potential in the future. so I think this time can be used as the best choice to buy IOTA at cheap price and can hold or sell when high price in some time to come.

Both good coins. Teams are strong. The future of both is brilliant to me. I think the future of both is brilliant. But if I choose one, it must be IOTA

honestly guys I'm scared by IOTA, that their hashing protocol... who knows what is that... And what about EOS, I see that very soon it may be the cryptocurrency number 2 on coinmarkecap.

Of course EOS. Many projects claim that after the release of the main net of EOS they will switch to EOS blockchain from the etherium. Etherium has big problems with scalability.

Both have issues. EOS doesn't have a product and IOTA have security issues. But based on what is in existence it would have to be IOTA just because there is more of a product there. EOS at the moment is nothing but hype

I see a lot of potential in IOTA, but unfortunately the technological tools are not as common as it would be to get into the project. Maybe 5 years later IOTA will be a part of our life, but it will take some time now to pass it on.

I would choose EOS, as I studied it and saw a great perspective. Look at its movement over the past half year. It is continually growing despite the correction. It seems to me that when the ICO ends it will improve very much and you can earn a lot on it.  Cool

For me its EOS. Why? Because the EOS main net will resolve the scalability issues of blockchain technology. The EOS ICO is about to end by June 2018. when that happens, many ICO will run or switch into EOS blockchain. Decentralized crypto exchange can also run under EOS blockchain. Just one good example is EOSFinex. https://news.bitcoin.com/bitfinex-plans-launch-decentralized-exchange-eosfinex/

Would go with IOTA any time because of strong partnerships and the Foundation. Imo they are the best at the moment when it comes to partnerships and united expertise in crypto. Just huge.
Besides Verge's partnerships, obviously. j/k

Still excited what EOS eventually will deliver.

I like EOS more than IOTA, maybe that's quite subjective, but that's my point Smiley

EOS will use its blockchain but remember NO ETA about that. I guess you should learn even more about the blockchain system and scalability problem doesn't matter because it can be solved through hardfork.
More and more companies will do the same as EOS. Universa or Credits even optimistic to build more than 100k tps platform and compared to the EOS and EOS looks nothin.

i think they are both pieces of shit in their own ways and symbolic of the insane lack of rationality in this market that needs to be taken outside and have its brains blown out.

in a couple of years people will look back on them and shake their heads in wonder at the valuations they achieved in their present condition.

I disagree. because still the platform Ethereum is still the largest when compared to the others, so of course Ethereum will not be easily abandoned by its users. let alone EOS is a coin that has not been too old then ethereum

This choice is too difficult. Both are good coins. I think EOS is doing better in promotion.

Given the popularity of both coins, I wouldn't mind investing in both. Both have their own good points and bad points. Also, EOS has been listed in a lot of local exchanges as well so it does have a slight edge when it comes to user penetration. Overall, both coins are equally promising and returns are definite in the long run from both of them.

Eos is recently growing Cryptocurrency but IOTA is best ever Cryptocurrency because IOTA is standardized Cryptocurrency if you looking to invest in these two coins you should successfully earn some profit. But you should split equally in your investment then only you can survive in long year. Because many peoples are investing in any one coin but we don't predict the future possibilities of Cryptocurrency so one coin is down in future another one raise constantly.
