I think yes, at least till 2019 it's safe to put 10k+ in crypto. Look at the whitepapers they all have some plans till 2019, some even further so this is safe time to put so much money in this after that it probably won't be so much ups and downs.

is it a gambling habit that you invest more than 10k? most people that are into crypto are working and taking classes at the same time. only to take loans for school to put into crypto. should you invest more than 10-30k dollars worth of crypto? back then people are investing only 1,000 to 5,000 into bitcoin. how serious is crypto. back than i hear people opening 2nd loans from their homes. but now it has quiet down a bit.

It's really all a gamble. But the rule of thumb is, never invest more than you are willing to lose.

It's been said over and over again: NEVER invest more than you can afford to lose.
Taking out a loan to me, sounds like you are putting in money that you can't afford (thus, the loan).
Of course, you can always tell yourself, "It's ok, I can pay it off in a couple months"
But, the way investments work, is that it is counter intuitive to sell off your investments.

The reason is, you want to build as much assets and value as you can which will exponentially make your trading decisions more profitable.
Selling it off, will only cut down any future profits you could have had.
So my advice is that instead of taking out a loan, allcoate a percentage of your paycheck every month and put it into crypto.
