I think it's a stupid decision to take a loan or their lifetime saving and use it to invest in crypto, especially if they have no background in investing. I don't understand where this statement came from.  This is an inaccurate generalization.

When prices are increasing like they did when bitcoin hit 20k, people were euphoric about bitcoin and yes, I also read about people mortgaging their houses and in one case selling everything they had, including their kid's toys.  That also happened in the tulip craze some centuries ago, and it's basically people going crazy during a bull market.  That happens during every bull market.

If you have the money to invest, go for it but as I've often written, don't put into the market what you're going to need in the next 6 months.  Don't let FOMO or any other emotion make you do stupid things.  If bitcoin continues increasing like it has in the past week, people are going to start doing this sort of folly again.  You'll see.
