It will be interesting to see how they implement the technology in their company structure. Samsung is quite an advanced company in the current technology market, I hope, after it, other companies will follow the same path.

People talk a lot of how archaic banks are, but I must say that the shipping industry is probably even worse. There are always a huge number of papers involved in each transaction (like clear payments, contracts, inventory, etc), so I'm sure the blockchain will make a huge difference for this business, and this move from Samsung doesn't surprise me. They are actually very committed to the blockchain, by first entering the asic industry, and will now actually use the blockchain technology to simplify their shipping department.

I don't think that much is going to change about this. there will still be a lot of paper being involved in shipping industry even if they all switch to the blockchain technology. the process is always the same too, the tools are changing and this change which would be usage of blockchain technology can make it so much faster and secure.
although depending on whether it is a distributed ledger or a centralized database it can be a very different approach. I am very interested to see how blockchain technology is going to be implemented by other areas other than currencies.

I think this is great that crypto-currency and blockchain technology is introduced into the core business. Samsung plans to use the blockade to optimize the logistics of its electronics business. Samsung made the right decision by showing to other companies the another possbile application of blockchain. I hope that the companies that will engage in using blockchain technology will use existing platforms so that to boost the industry and I believe that they will do it since it is much cheaper method than hiring a group of people yo do the coding, buying the equipments for mining and other maintenance of the network.

Blockchain technology is growing, I believe sooner or later many big companies will adopt it because this technology can provide many benefits for them such as track every step of a shipment’s progress, transparency for customers and auditors, accounting and so on.

It's definitely great that a lot of companies including Samsung are hoping on the blockchain bandwagon.  The applications for blockchain are endless and i think it will become a the new standard in the upcoming years for the process of verification and the process of managing transaction data for any number of industries.
