This year I would probably have invested in ETH.  I think the price of this coin will grow significantly faster.

Both ethereum and bitcoin is the best choice to hold until december 2018 both has unexpected potential to rise. But in my opinion if I were your I would invest 70% of my capital in bitcoin and rest 30% of the capital in ethereum because bitcoin is always my first priority to invest and I always believe it can give much better return if we compare it with all other altcoins. So diversify your capital in both coins would be a good idea. Do not go with a single coin.

you are right, ETH is good for short term investment because we don't know to when this coin will survive. but OP ask about december and it will be good if save bitcoin for that time. usually the price is rise

It is better not to invest in one coin.  And if you choose between ETH and BTC, then it's worth investing in both coins.  This is the safest option.

For me you'd better sell it and by an ICO project tokens like #Cryptics. Cuz after 1-2 months the tokens will rocket then count your X's. But if Bitcoins also rises you will earn some procents may be 20 or 30% but not more. So check the project what I meant above.

I would split my budget in half and buy both. Because both are good. It's hard to make predictions and guess which one of these two coins will be more successful. But if you want to choose one thing, I would definitely choose Bitcoin.

With the way that ethereum is set up right now I would have to go with that. Also 150 ethereum is way more than 9.5 bitcoin which means that I would be getting more if I took the ethereum. I know that with ethereum there is still a lot of growing to do and I can invest some of it into some promising icos

well it almost takes us to 15 eth per btc so keeping in mind today's value of eth which is around $450, value of 15 eth is roughly around $6750 which is on a bit of a higher side of today's btc value. but these are very short term prices & also betting against bitcoin is kind of a foolish idea but to use that & then flip it to make it more btc is not an bad idea. so for till the end of 2018 holding & flipping 150 eth whenever market rises might be a good idea (although a pretty degen idea but still)

I think Ethereum will have more room for development in the future, so if it is me, I will choose Ethereum. Looking at the current market conditions, the broader market tends to be stable, but I believe Ethereum will be even more powerful and surpass Bitcoin in the future.
