I think this is all because they know this trade will generate a quick profit for those who are already good at trading. Compared to us holding altcoin for investment, it may take a long time and patience. Sometimes after a long duration and expect the price will rise but the price even goes down, our patience will be tested.

Me too I dont understand why people have such opinion. I see prospective in some altcoins, but it takes time for their team to release some updates according to their roadmap. And I prefer to buy and hold altcoins. When Bitcoin is thing that can be traded daily with TA(when TA with alt is useless)

yes I agree that altcoin is more suitable for day tading not for holding, because the movement or price changes in altcoin are very volatile and the future is difficult to predict, very risky if we hold altcoin in the long run.

It always depends on the altcoin. If we speak about Ethereum, DASH, Monero, and NEO, it will be much better to hold them for a very long time. You can trade daily with the altcoins that are not from top-20.

I want to say, in any case, I believe that everyone should be free to do whatever they like. And If you have a good knowledge of technical analysis, you can trade day. If you are a beginner, I personally do not recommend daily trading. And also if you want to make money in crypto, better learn about how to trade with the day method and you can buy some good coins and hold it for several months and sell it for profit.

Maybe peoples who support it don't have time to waiting with their holdings. If they can makes fast income, why not ?
For me, altcoins and bitcoin should be hold for long term, either you hold the coins, or buy some tokens and hold it.

All day traders will loose their investment in the long run for sure. All gamblers will loose their assets, because this planet suffers from their destructive consumption.

If you settle your greed, and you are satisfied with perpetuation, you can collect the money from all thefts, the greedy and the manipulators.

For this you need to buy only the alts you have some confidence into, and you have to buy only with a small budget corresponding to your confidence. Balance all your assets, and rebalance them from time to time, this is the boring but human way of live.

Wait for long, Warren Buffett tells you so too. Leave your computer, play with your childs instead. The longer you wait, the higher the possible "profit" in a greedy world (disproportionally high with the price deflection). If the price dropped hard, rebuy some. If the price rised hard, sell some. You can "love" the market, the "profit" is for "loving". You should stop loving yourself, and start loving the natur.

Why is it working this way? Because in the average, nothing is rising or falling. Accepting this, you get protected by natural rules. Becoming rich is not possible for all, therefore it does not work, and you are not protected. But poverty is possible for all, and it will be enforced by a war, if we do not change our minds. War brings back our "assets" to the natur, where they belong to.

in my opinion, altcoin is good for day trading only if the market is moving high and low every day. but if the market cannot predict then I think we cannot do day trading because this will make us get stuck in the high price. and perhaps, we can only try for weekly trading if day trading is not giving a good sign. I am sure that with day trading in altcoin, we can try to get more profit from many coins so we can earn more money in daily and we can get much money in monthly in the same time.

With small investment/ or capital, buying altcoin with low price (let say below $20, or below $1) is more quantity w/c you can feel the profit after selling, unlike buying on higher price like btc, eth, zec xmr etc. .. 🤔😂

I think that day trading is too risky, because you can not analyze the situation on a daily chart. In any case, it is better not to engage in trade if you do not know how, because you are more likely to lose everything!

Truly It’s not really logical to say if which one in these would be much riskier .Probably everyone has their own opinion about holding and day trading.  As you can see also there’re so many people getting benefit from day trading, but on contrary many others reap a huge fruits from day trading. It mostly depends on your skill and experience that leads you to choose holding or day trading. You’d better to realize which is much more suitable with yourself, don’t get concerned on someone’s choosing because your stategy is quite different from others.

but you need to be careful to choose the altcoin because like you said, you can earn around 20% daily if you can find a good altcoin so you can make a profit in daily. besides of buying altcoin, you need to manage your emotion because all of the altcoins is related with bitcoin price, so no matter altcoin wants to go, it will follow with bitcoin price so you need to prepare for anything that will happen.
