Why is merit system not working properly inspite of having a good concept ???

Most of the member having good amount of Smerit,but they are not likely to send their Smerit to any post.Due to this, in-spite of  having a good concept,It is not working properly and upgradation of membership is very difficult now.
I have found some active  profile having Legendary member to member,those are not sending merit to anyone only receive in last 120 days.these are :

For this,there should be automatically distribution of Smerit to other active member ,if member is not using their Smerit within some time frame.This will increase the circulation of merit in the system.

Giving merits really is someone's own choice however If they feel dutiful to the forum then from moral point of view they should give it away. A lot of people are doing very good job managing their sMerit profile.

Truth is (I noticed) giving merits is a kind of task. In my personal experience, I have missed a lot of posts to give merits. The moment I read the post I forget that there is something called merit should be given for the post. When later I realise I should give some merit to that post by that time it's too late. I already moved myself doing some other tasks.

Yes it is one of the problem why merit circulation is not enough but there is nothing we can do about it we dont know the reason why they dont distribute their sMerit to the community while there is a lot of good post exist I think the purpose of some of them why they are holding it because they want to use it to their other accounts or maybe they plan to make a new account it is the only reason I see why they hold it. Maybe on others situation they are not that active to distribute it.

The real problem is most of merits and sMerits have been circulated between good users because as the merit system has shown its efficient operations, only (or mostly) deserved users - who are constructive ones - have got merits and sMerits.
Abusers, cheaters, account farmers, merit farmers, and low quality users will mostly hard to find merits and sMerits.
Congratulations for such great achievements of merit system!

Anyone who complains about a lack of merit is only here to earn money from bounties/airdrops/campaigns. That's not how it should be. This is a place for discussion first and a business-based forum second.

You gain very little additional benefit from ranking up apart from the aforementioned items. Everyone sees right through these threads. ¬¬

The merit people have in their profile is not the spendable sMerit they can give out so some may have little, but I don't think people should be forced to give it out or that it should be randomly distributed if they don't. That won't really solve anything. Wouldn't be against merit decaying but that doesn't really solve anything either. I think it should stay and people can give it out in the future as they see fit.

What you're suggesting would encourage spamming the forum with many accounts, to earn sMerit to rank up another account. That's a terrible idea!

The Merit system is working, shit posts are far less common on here now. Admittedly there’s still some but you’re never going to totally eradicate it. People are making much more effort to make good quality posts, I’m enjoying the forum more since the Merit systems inception.
