I don't think Ethereum will be able to beat bitcoin this year. Since bitcoin still holds a dominant position in the market. It takes 2-3 years to win.

Bitcoin and ethereum are both profitable. Beacuse they are the best of cryptocurrency. But I really don't know why are you people compare with Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin is the best coin in cryptocurrency and exchange able with everything and Ethereum also good not as BTC

I do not think Ethereum and Bitcoin are the winners of 2018. In the beginning of 2018, it experienced an upturn and it fell over time to see the bottom price.

There is no winner 2018 I think and it will not be. There are lot of project and we saw the scam coins in this year. If I must choose one still BTC.

I understand that this is due to the beginning of the growth of the BTC, although I also doubt that it was meant. But still it seems to me that it's too early to say now what will happen in the end. |

I think Bitcoin is the year's winner. It didn't have negative publicity, showed good growth percentage as compared to other coins, and it continues to grow.

I understand what you're saying, I also keep thinking that ETh is more valuable than BTC, but eth won't surpass bitcoin not only by the end of this year, but also in future. So big money are concentrated in BTC and it is fully decentralised! It is father of crypto and nothing will replace it

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.
On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.
So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?
it is true that if we value its potential and usefulness, of course bitcoin is still inferior to ethereum, even NEO, but because there are already many people who invest their money in bitcoin, people's trust in bitcoin is high and that causes high volume and prices but when people have moved on to another coin I'm sure there's no excuse to invest in bitcoin it's just that it will take a very long time |

I believe that each of these projects has its pros and cons. On the ERC-20 platform, almost all new projects come out, but Bitcoin has a more developed infrastructure, many ordinary people do not know that apart from bitcoin, there are other crypto-currencies. In the future, I personally would have given preference to ETH!

This is only the beginning of the second half, but it may be confirmed that Ethereum will not be able to beat Bitcoin this year. Indeed the Ethereum platform is the most adopted by new projects, but I think crypto is more than just technology. Consensus will first consider a brand, and Bitcoin has proven it. |

Bitcoin will win hands down for now. They are the heavy hitter for now. I feel like they will be the benchmark for a while.
