Winner of this year, ETH or BTC?

The possibility of ethereum beyond bitcoin could happen but not in the near future. I think this year bitcoin will still be a winner, because the difference in bitcoin price with ethereum is very far and bitcoin is more traded and many people see bitcoin as a store of value

I think that the Ethereum has more chances to become the currency number 1. The Ethereum has a very strong ecosystem and developers constantly modify the system and come up with new developments for their cryptocoin. Bitcoin does not have as much functionality as Ethereum, and they have slower development. Therefore, I think that soon the Ethereum will dominate in crypto world.

I think this year bitcoin will stay as a king of cryptocurrency, but maybe in 2-3 years etherum can beat him and I really cheer him.

I believe that bitcoin will remain the leader. Money will be equal to him. Alcoins do not have a leader who is better bitcoin.

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

I always want to see new and dynamic altcoins in crypto, and I think ethereum is definitely one of these coins, and maybe the most successful one. But I don't think that, it can reach the cap or popularity of bitcoin. Because the effect of the bitcoin is still so big on the all cryptocurrencies, and in my opinion, it is really hard to see that situation different in the near future.

I think a lot will depend on the upcoming update of the Ethereum network to the hybrid. Only then can we judge whether Ethereum  win or lose.

Bitcoin is a stable crypto currency, so its price is unlikely to drop for a long time. You can expect short-term drops in the rate, but do not panic and "run" to the exchange to sell cheaper currency.

They are both winner, by their own and hoping that this coming September the market will go hype again and it will last until December to first week of January. The price of Bitcoin and Ethereum last year is really good and that help us a lot when it comes to financial and for the people who want to start a small business. So we will see what will happen next.

The question here is different-when does the Ethereum team plan on upgrading the network? I am not sure that the network will be updated this year. In this case bitcoin will win.

For me it will be the BTC. It dominates the other altcoin and specially ETH although they are both helpful to many people specially in the online transactions.

I still think that bitcoin is the peak of cryptoccurency. But that does not mean ethereum is not good. It's just bitcoinlah who became the winner because it is still popular and has a lot of requests every day. So here I prefer bitcoin rather than ethereum. I am more interested in bitcoin than ethereum as well.

For mass adoption I think that ETH will be the winner over BTC and I think in 2-3 year ETH will take over the market lead. ( market cap )

I think bitcoin wins because it lost 300% from the pick price when eth lost 350%. But many project base their coins and tokens on erc-20 platform

ethereum and bitcoin crypto currencies are the most powerful coins on the market. this year it is very bad in the two of them. but to me it will be the winning bitcoin at the end of this year and the value will increase.

ethereum is much more better because you can earn a lot of money if the price goes back to the all time high, that is why i prefer it at the moment

With such a ruthless fall in the market, talking about leaders at the end of the year is strange. Everything falls and it's easier to formulate the question what will happen in the market at half a year. I think Bitcoin will not disappear anywhere, and if you invest less, the price of the airwaves can fall very much, and that's a fact. So we will certainly wait, but the winner will be bears in any case.

The two currencies are very important and quite strong but very different, I think that for Ethereum it will be very difficult to be better than Bitcoin. Bearing in mind that the market is still recovering and the proportions are very different.

i think the both coin are the main coin on the list of crypto, but Bitcoin is always at the top. for Ethereum to meet or beat Bitcoin its going to do a great work because of the gap

The uniqueness and functionality of the "Etherium" is certainly a factor that should be taken into account.It is not as popular as btc, however, it has great potential and the price of ether will definitely increase soon
