it is too early to say it. because they are both living hard. ether returned to the level one year ago. It is frightening to me. my expectation for the end of the year is a minimum of $ 1000. Both ethereums and bitcoins will be winners this year in addition to many other altcoins.  I believe this year we will start seeing huge gains starting now.  It's altcoin season and naturally bitcoins will also rise in price. 

As long as bitcoin is over ethereum, and bitcoin is the top coin, bitcoin will remain the winner of every year. But for me, but for me it doesn't matter if what coin is the best. Yes, BTC is stronger.  This year the price for ETH is very low and it's very bad.  It looks like we can not get a good profit.

It is actually too early to tell the real winner, currently bitcoin hasn't drop that much if you compare it to ethereum, that keeps dropping everyday, but there are still 4 months left to end the year and a lot of things could happen in that amount of time.

I think eth has a great potential and this is evident by the fact that most of the projects ico based on the eth blockchain. But btc is the progenitor of the cryptocurrency and its behavior in the market sets the weather to all the other coins ... so it's hard to say for sure btc or eth.

Hello everyone!

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

It is too early to make those conclusions because if you would see the situation on the market the very beginning of this year you can see that those things were changed drastically few times already and it's only 7 months.

My choice is bitcoin. This is the first and largest coin. Also the most stable coin. In the long-term perspective - bitcoin number one
