Pornhub has started accepting crypto

Pornhub has started accepting cryptocurrency as a payment option, the company announced on Tuesday . The site now accepts Verge cryptocurrency (no relation to The Verge), a rebranded version of Dogecoindark, which split off from the original meme coin, Dogecoin, in 2014. Now, users can pay for any Pornhub features, including a Premium subscription, using Verge cryptocurrency. Pornhub’s adult sister sites, Brazzers and Nutaku, also accept Verge cryptocurrency now.Verge cryptocurrency is anonymity-focused, which is why Pornhub executives say they chose it over other potential partners. It should be noted that anyone can view Verge cryptocurrency transactions through its public ledger, but it uses the anonymity tool Tor and an anonymous network layer I2P to hide specific transactions’ IP addresses and locations. Since public ledgers often have their downfalls in protecting anonymity, users also choose to hide on Verge cryptocurrency’s private ledger.

yeah i heard the same, that verge has partnerd with pornhub. But i dont know if this is good for the reputation of verge. But this industry i huge and if verge gets the uppe hand in this industry, it would be huge.

For me, there is actually nothing wrong with Verge partnering with adult sites such as the ones mentioned above. We all know a lot of projects that deals with the gaming industry, social media industry, business industries and so on. These partnership had become so common that I think it had become a trend among ICO's. In fact, for me, it is a big leap for the Verge team to take risk and gamble upon something that is or may be viewed negatively. Cryptocurrency's wasn't created just so it can maintain a reputation, it was created because it is deemed usable. Moreover, anonymous transactions really is quite handy in terms of using adult sites.

It's hard for me to say that either it's good or bad, like on the one hand it probably seems like something good, because you can watch porn for money and no one can figure out where you came from and who the account holder is, and on the other hand porn it's not a very cultural affair, I like many watch porn, but I'm not ready to pay for it, I consider it my personal considerations

I already heard Verge has partnered with Pornhub a while ago but I don't really care (Because I don't Invest my money to Verge and I never visit Pornhub )

Whenever a big brand partners with cryptocurrencies, I get quite excited because it leads to a growth in market. I feel Porn is still a taboo and people need to get over it. Any new outlet or website accepting cryptocurrency is a positive news and sends good vibes all around. Now, I wouldn't mind invest in the dogecoin. I am sure the trading volumes would soar up and the price will definitely get a lot higher.

I'm not sure how beneficial partnering up with a porn site will do to a cryptocurrency.  Do people actually still pay for porn these days?  There are so many free contents online which makes me wonder why anyone would want to pay for a premium account.

People do not have to pay for it but sometimes people have to pay for it, for example, there are several websites that provide exclusive service for their members and live porn requires the audience to pay some money if they want to get extra service during the live. So the answer is there are so many people who will spend their money for porn.

Exactly, and quite right too.. however saying they "chose" it because of its anon properties is of course bullshit else they have little understanding of crypto especially the anon sector here.

Then again i guess most peoples wives are not going to get past the basic anon features verge has.

I have heard that Verdes price went down after this event, because there is a rumor thet Verge payed for this, if it is true then
Pornhub  is twice time a winner, because if got money and great advertisement for free, because I for example haven’t heard about Pornhub before.

I think that this partnership can make a bad reputation for Verge. I don't know what they really expected, but the reaction of crypto community was very negative. You can see it from XVG price chart. The price decreased almost by half just after the announcement.

Isnt it officially announced? accepting verge? the XVG or some other shitcoin which created years ago, i am a littlbe bit confused to the verge and XVG is these coins are different? cant find anything in google it might be a FUD or if its XVG that would be bullshit partnership a very desperate move from the core team of XVG and it might be a godo thing to dump that coin itself.

It's so funny that pornhub and other porn related sites and projects are into bitcoin now. I can say that cryptocurrency is really flexible in any ways. Cryptocurrency became the best trend of the history. And right now it is making name for everybody.
