Too many people in one pool very bad for Bitcoin. http://www.bitcoinwatch.com/Many people mine on DeepBit due to it's crunching power well here is a great alternative. Put your even video cards on slush's pool @ http://mining.bitcoin.czPut your odd video cards on BTC Guild's pool @ http://www.btcguild.comMaybe put every third card pointed towards @ http://www.bitcoins.lc/You add the hashing power together and get 2473 + 2084 + 506 = 5063 GH/secBetter for Bitcoin and better for you in so many ways. Such as lower fees or more consistent payouts due to crunching so many blocks at one time. BTCGuild has been really good over the last weekend or so.The pool luck has been waaay positive......currently over 50 % for the last 24 hours and no fee.
For some reason I could have never signed up for Deepbit as the website was done and have been satisfied with my current pool.

The luck is inaccurate if there was a difficulty change within 24 hours.

Newbies, Be careful though ... bitcoinpool.com seems sketchy. I used them for a while ... and 1) I can't change my address 2) No password retrieval procedure. 3) No options to withdraw full amount ... only in the nomination of 0.01 btc.
all seems "disabled" in the name of SECURITY and advised to "create new accounts". Meanwhile, I lose 0.008xxxxxx btc because the 0.01 btc rule. So be careful which pool you choose.

So basically, use multipool mode on DiabloMiner. Or latest poclbm. Sample batch file: cd C:\poclbm start /affinity 1 /D"C:\poclbm" /MIN poclbm.exe assman:password@api2.bitcoin.cz:8332#serv1 assman:password@api.bitcoin.cz:8332#serv2 assman:password@uscentral.btcguild.com:8332#serv3 -t 10 -b 1000 -d 0 -v -w 128 start /affinity 1 /D"C:\poclbm" /MIN poclbm.exe assman:password@uscentral.btcguild.com:8332#serv1 assman:password@uswest.btcguild.com:8332#serv2 assman:password@api.bitcoin.cz:8332#serv3 -t 10 -b 1000 -d 1 -v -w 128

I tried bitcoinpool thinking what they are proposing, efficiency mining, seems like a good idea. While I can understand their restrictions in the name of security, what stopped me was getting efficiency up. Without a high efficiency, it would had been the same as mining on any other pool, with less restrictions. Unfortunately, they dropped support for their modded version of poclbm and recommend using Phoenix instead. But for some odd reason phoenix is unable to connect to them on my set (but it works on other pools). So I gave up and dropped them.

I started thinking about this more when we snagged an invalid on slush's pool earlier today.

ouch!

According to the logic suggested by the OP, I guess I should mine with 1/3 of my cards at deepbit, and the other 2/3 at deepbit as well, since then I'm somehow tapping into 5363 + 5363 + 5363 = 16,089 Ghps. Wait, no, I should mine with 1/10 of my cards at deepbit, and the other 9/10 at deepbit. Then I'm tapping into 10x5363 = 50,363 Ghps. Someone needs to rethink their maths.

With DiabloMiner, you just use commas with -l or -u -p -o -r, and it automatically handles it.

BTW, OP's math is totally wrong
2473 * (1/3) + 2084 * (1/3) + 506 * (1/3)
