Japan has legalized cryptocurrency, is it Russia next？Russia has a lot of cryptocurrency development agencies, and there are a lot of cryptocurrency followers, I think Russia will sooner or later legalize cryptocurrencies.

Russia is one of the authorities which has moved forward in direction for the acceptance of cryptocurrency and speaking about it.
But what we should also consider is bitcoin and cryptocurrencies has higher degree of freedom in other European countries though the authorities never talk about it.

As far as I know, at the moment neither the Central Bank nor the Ministry of Finance can make a single decision regarding the legal status of the cryptocurrency. For example, the Ministry of Finance of Russia wants to equate the cryptocurrency with federal loan bonds, this will mean that individuals can not use the cryptocurrency.
The Central Bank generally refuses to recognize Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a payment instrument and defines the cryptocurrency as the "money surrogate". And only in the State Duma they are trying to come to a compromise.

As one of the countries with the largest number of cryptocurrency users in the world today, Russia’s attitude toward cryptocurrencies is not clear. They do not embrace cryptocurrencies like Japan and do not drive away cryptocurrencies like China.

OP can you provide some link on what news you are talking about.Accepting means legalizing the bitcoins which is very good for the bitcoin investors because Russia is one of the big country and have high population too so the chance of increase in adoption will happen by their legalization.But I never hear this about yet.  |

It should be good information for whole crypto. Whales from Russia probably will want increase price individual coins so we should see changes. In my opinion legalize crypto in every country will have positve effects for coins |

Not going to happen maybe i presume because theres still no news about this,no official statements which is why it will remain speculations but if ever this will happen surely the whole community will benefit as the russia has some good influence about anything just like what U.S are theres some allies which wont turn their back to RUSSIA.

I do not believe that Russia will ever legitimize the crypto currency on conditions that are acceptable for its existence. If even recently the Telegram network was banned for use, seeing it as a threat of terror, but in fact, because this social network refused to provide intelligence services with information about the ciphered data of its participants, it is possible to imagine what prohibitions will accompany the possible permission to circulation of crypto currency. Crypto currency is also not subject to complete control by the secret services. Most likely, what will be allowed will be unacceptable for citizens. The acceptance and usage of blockchain and cryptocurrency is inevitable. The whole world won't have a choice but to legalise and accept it on the long run due to its advantages. It is a good thing russia has realised this and ready to give it a chance in the country. This is another milestone for the blockchain community.

Yes this will happen but not soon.Banks are still having big word in government with all of their money but slowly mainstream adoption is on the way and Russia will eventually accept crypto

People from Russia will not increase their confidence in crypto, only because crypto legalized the state, as people from Russia have little trust in the government. If that is true then it can be confirmed with the current price value in BTC, as seeing the current movement of BTC very quickly rises most likely there is an impact of Krypto's legalization in russia, but right now I have not found a clear certainty. why the market is moving up, is it with the current price hike there will be another big problem that hit Crypto so the price will drop very deep after the price increase.
