Because crypto popularity some scammers  try to use this way to get money easily. Purchasing an ICO and run away. So we as a crtpto user it is so dissapointing. But we xant atop people like that so be more carefull and more critics for an ICO to invest. research before join in a project token sales or better to not invest. A lot of known currency is already in thw market so buy low sell high to earn profit

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.
We don't know how people thinks, that is why it is so important that we should be careful in choosing the right ICO especially when you are planning and seeking for the ICO where you can invest your money, be more extra careful with it.
With this, is there any tips to make viable decision to invest with these ICOs? Is there a trend to follow? A platform to chase?

I think fake is everywhere not only in crypto space, but there are a lot of good ICO. My first indicator of good or not the ICO by seeing the bounty manager profile as usually bounty manager will test and verify the ICO whether scam or not, good or not.

True scams are everywhere so better before you involved on the Ico's always check if the project is good. They showed up their team can able to improve their platform. Once their team is good they can attract more supporters in the community.

Actually scam is everywhere not just in ICOs or bounties but even in reality its happening, there are many bad people existing in this world who take advantage other people for their own gains. Hence its our duty to choose the right project or bounties before participating if you dont want your effort to be wasted. Nowadays its hard to tell if the project is likely to be scam or not because they are too smart to make it like genuine. Its really sad but we have to deal with them to avoid getting victimized.

Hello everyone,

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.

As once you select that you want to participate in ICO, then keep these things in your mind.
1. No one from team member will contact you personally through telegram or other channels to contribute to you. Only ways of contribution are either through their website or that is mentioned on their website.
2. There are many fake admin profiles on telegram , they will personally message you and will give you contribution address to send ETH/BTC or whatever. Don't listen to them and ban them immediately.
3. Only trust official websites, Admin and team member.
4. you will get email from hackers , don't open them.
5. use 2fa and other securities to your accounts on exchanges.

Recently i get email from fake cryptopia exchange team that someone is trying to access my account. I click on that link and found that it was almost similar to real cryptopia link. So avoid these types of email.

If you have any question or need any help, leave your post below. I will try my best to help all of you.

Thank you and all the best.

I heard it is inevitable. You just need to participate in airdrop, however i was also thinking about security. if it is scam, how can i assure that my data is not cracked? especially my wallet?

Really sad  to experience such now. Anyway there is a price to pay for every endevour as a new comer into crypto there is the tendency that you will pay some price. As you mature in the system your eyes will open the more.

Cryptocurrencies are now fraudulently exploited by criminals, but it does not mean that cryptocurrencies are not good. What is lacking today is effective regulation and legal norms.

Scams are really very much among ICO and need to be very careful when choosing a project. Do not rush to invest in a little-known project and need to listen more to the advice of experienced traders.

Yes, the scam coins are everywhere, scams ICOs are also everywhere recently. Therefore, now, we must be more careful, more patient, and smarter.
More careful, it means that we must be careful when going to invest in such coins or ICO. Learn and analyze everything about them before starting to invest carefully.
Patient, it is very important to be more patient in the cryptocurrency world, never be panic to buy or sell the coins. ensure that you buy or sell the coins wisely.
Smart, be smart in anything happening in the crypto world, be smart in the update of the crypto news and market, and be smart in choosing the right coins or ICO without scams.

People are greedy, so scammers can get their money. Lazy investors want to get fast and easy profit, and ICO industry offers it to them. I see that even projects which have collected more than $ 10-20 mlns can turn into scam…

This is the biggest set up for investors who took the first step in this world, the kind of crypto money you mentioned. Especially with small investments and with the dream of being rich in a short time, this trap, which everybody who has invested in, has completely filled the big investors' pockets. It can also be considered as a good punishment for people who are not rich in information or projects about projects in the short term. Not everything is money, after all, a little research is needed first. Moreover, money is not easily obtained in this sector, and investors like to keep their enthusiasm. Smiley
