I am wondering if it is possible to create a client that don't do hashing, just for receive, send & get transaction update? This type of client do not contribute to the chain but will be very light & do not keep transaction data. Good for people who do not mine & just want to make transactions with the coins they own or check how much coins they have, without having to wait for blockchain update.
Regards, Simon Sim

Every client contributes to the chain when it sends transactions. And idea of this coin is to provide storage... don't think that it is good thought to not to store even part of blockchain on computers.

The way I look at it, is that someone may just want to make a transaction or check status. He/she may not into digital coins itself, maybe an investor or something. He/she may not want to wait for the chain update. Also such client is very light, maybe can install into smart phones, if coded in java or some mobile phone language. Regards

So I think that anyone who has enough skill in smartphone programming can rewrite parts of initial code to java etc, and use smartphone as front-end - no hundreds GB of data, only interface. Back-end will be installed on some server (cluster of servers) that have synchronized blockchain. But it needs a lot of work: it will be something like online wallet, but even more difficult.

I think that add a txt submit button in client for miner. You can set up a site collect these client messages. Thanks DTC:DR2WATFQMgY5Wbf394PkPwr4B4ogH3XkL6

You're right! I'll try to write small 'archiver' that can upload data into blockchain. We should remember that it will cost a lot of coins (1MB = 51 Datacoins). But site with donation addresses can be created. I.e. 'upload thepiratebay dump, address XXXX' . If donations are enough to store it (4096 DataCoins for TPB ), the upload process will be started. And coins sent to you!

I'm sure you noticed but the developer has included "Perl scripts for putting and getting files to/from blockchain." in the initial post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325735.0 Something to build upon?

Yeah, I know, but I want to make some changes and maybe create some GUI for it so everyone can at least read files from blockchain.
