LOL. Good read. I knew that one day someone would forget entering only to have a large sum show up one day. Congrats!

So BitLotto has almost reached 40 BTC. This month is going WAY faster! Last month's draw was 40 BTC total. Nice to see some growth this month.
Oh, and I see some people are forgetting to pay each ticket separately! For example: don't send 0.5 all at once. Sent two payments of 0.25!

Congratulations to the person who bought the 0.05 BTC ticket from the weekly BitLotto Jr. that won 4.90 BTC!!! Fixed that for you. By the way, would you consider doing a redirect for that BitLotto Jr. link? I've told people about the /jr and forgot it is /jr.php. Would be nice if the URL handler could take either one ...

Thanks for the tip. I'll fix the URL. I'm trying to follow the rules and have both on the same thread since they are on the same site. I'll be more careful next time!

Could be useful for automatically generating the winner Sure, that would be great!! Just PM me the code. Right now I manually do the calculations, but I want to move to being more automated so it doesn't take so long.

To ensure that players are aware BEFORE the draw so everyone can know that I'm not changing it to change the winner, I have tweaked the algorithm for finding the winner. From my website: (Changed Sept 26 2011 - Simplify algorithm a bit) The transaction hash that contains the most picks in sequence, without any other digits in between, starting with the first pick, is the winner. The matching sequence can be anywhere inside the hash and doesn't have to be at the beginning. If multiple transaction hashes tie for how many picks match, a tie breaker is done. From the tied group, whoever has the most occurrences of the first pick in their entire hash is the winner. When using the first pick as a tie breaker it's possible for each potential winner to have the same count. If that is the case the next pick is looked at to see if a tie can be broken. It continues until all picks are used. In the extremely rare case you still have a tie after this process, the remaining potential winners equally share the funds.
It's a little more simple and works a little better for me. Good Luck everyone who enters!!!!

Let's say one buys a ticket, but the entry/transaction shows two or more "sent from" addresses. If that entry should win, to which address is the prize sent? Only one address is actually the entrant's, right? The others are change addresses or something? This was asked, and answered here: - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7283.msg158372#msg158372"Any would work. I'd probably pick the oldest address just so there is more likelihood they have that address backed up somewhere."

After some psycho days and nights the coooins finally walleted. It’s me, it’s really me! I could not believe it. Thanks to Bitlotto I’m now able to spread around some btc to my favourite bitcoiners for their free tools and services. That’s what I wanted to do right from the beginning of my mining experience. But with declining prices you can’t be profitable nor donationable. That’s history now. Thanks again... btw what’s your donation address? I don't think 1% is cost-covering.

Odd that someone would pay: 0.00000042 Not sure why. Oh well. The pool is now 8.00000462 because there were two "wrong" ammounts: 0.0000042 from 1KPR5YvwrBqSvfjzUvFDi5EPhPC6CMPKvG 0.00000042 from 1Mi2bgbRs1xEWWA3gXgoj3CR9SCDYc3amq Since they did not pay the full 0.25 BTC I assume their entries are invalid. If either entry wins you will have a "riot" on your hands Why anyone would do this is one question. Making sure these entries do not count is another.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security. Read all about it here: http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/ Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

(0.05 for JR game) All tickets that don't reach the min level are ignored.
