Hi guys, this just bother me long time ago, and just popped up recently..

What is the purpose of token?

I can not figure it out because I have one token before and I did not know how to use it and I can not even transfer it to bitcoin. I am just wondering why people keep inventing and creating so much token at all.
I hope I can get POSITIVE response and not some hates and negative one.

Most developers creating new project for make people life more easy. There is different functionality token, some token are utility and some for securities. Utility token created to make use more easily using their service

i think the purpose same as like alt coin , that for make an alternate but its just used with ethereum smart contract not with blockchain type , i just found token that purpose for study , car , and etc

Just right, they are almost same, but their difference is that coins has a value and can be used as a medium of exchange and storing value of time, token has a value but they cannot be considered as money unlike coins such as bitcoin, ethereum.

I think tokens are almost similar to stocks in a company but what distinguishes them is their shape, as the function is almost the same as being traded because it has a volatile value depending on the quality of the company and several other factors, if the stock traded on the stock market is different from the token traded in a certain exchange but both of these things have the same purpose

in my opinion, the token will be exchanged to eth, now looking for free tokens in the bounty campaign is very difficult, most scam bounty campaigns, if I have a token I will redeem it to eth, it can be exchanged for money.

Tokens, of course, can be designed as a cryptocurrency. But often they are designed to include a certain network and stimulate its growth (Network Tokens) or simply provide an opportunity to invest in an object or asset (Investment token).
