Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin? Yes it is. We all know that ethereum was created by a russian programmer on 2013, and it was launched on 2015. After 3 years it is next to bitcoin in terms of popularity and value.

Let me show you some NBA perspective on this, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency right? same as LeBron as the king of NBA. But here comes ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Wether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Mark my word. Trust the ethereum process!
Cryptocurrency is not a basketball league so please stop comparing it to basketball player. The two coins have their own market and goal. It's like comparing an orange to an apple. Bitcoin cannot be replaced by any altcoin even Ethereum.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I can't help contradicting you that ethereum is a risk to bitcoin which is he best and most established crypto. These two coin are extraordinary and they work in various areas and have diverse capacities. Indeed, ethereum has picked up a considerable measure of prevalence relatively like bitcoin and has a superior innovation however it can not supplant bitcoin. It will keep on dominating in its own perspective and bitcoin will keep on being the ruler of crypto.

Bitcoin doesn't have to stress over ethereum's regularly expanding advancement. Bitcoin and ethereum have an alternate reason, bitcoin was made to end up the ruler of crypto, where it has an expansive part in the rate of all coins in crypto. Though ethereum is an altcoin which is as of now the primary altcoin and holds the title of being the lord of altcoins, where ethereum can be supplanted by different altcoins that can outperform ethereum.

That's funny. Ethereum is much lower in price than bitcoin and does not have such a huge number of fans who are ready to hold it throughout life.

For me ETH might win against BTC IF NEO, EOS and other platform based ones wont deliver as much as their whitepaper is saying. ETH is a platform so many tokens will use in the future.

To tell the truth I do not see any threat for bitcoin for today at all. It is the only cryptocurrency, which very famous for all and to which investors trust.

Yes I did not see any reason that ethereum is a threat to bitcoin because as of this days still bitcoin take the leads on all cryptocurrencies behind this recent bearish market. With the good benefits from bitcoin that was trusted already by many expert investors I dont think that it will undergo any threat by other coins in terms of its value and popularity.

There are no threats to bitcoin except bitcoin itself. if he can overcome the market and all the negative consequences that are on the crypto-currency market, then he can gain in the price and other crypto-currencies will also grow, but no 1 other crypto-currency can compete with bitcoin.

Even the price of ethereum is low it can still give a threat to bitcoin in the future.maybe after 5 years we can see ethereum more promising that's why bitcoin should never underestimate the best altcoin and that is ethereum.

Ethereum does not pose any threat to Bitcoin. It's a popular coin and that's it. There is trust in bitcoin because It is a leader in capitalization and it is also the most stable coin.

ethereum is not a threat to bitcoin ethereum falls too deep, and this is the lowest point,
in my opinion ethereum will rise again when it is being corrected.

I am sure you would be regretting writing this by now looking at the current market situation and comparing eth to btc, so far btc is maintaining over 57% of the total marketcap while eth is sharing the remaining with the multitude of the alts on the coincap

ETH has become very weak for the last time and I am sure that it could not beat BTC without restoring and future increasing. BTC is getting stroner everyday.

These two coin are different and they operate in different sectors and have different functions. Yes, ethereum has gained a lot of popularity almost like bitcoin and has a better technology but it can not replace bitcoin. It will continue to dominate in its own aspect and bitcoin will continue to be the king of crypto.

I doubt if ETH is still a threat to BTC with the current market situation of ETH. Other platforms now offers a good smart contract function with a good transaction.
