No they are different things actually. Bitcoin is just to have value in digital asset, but ethereum has smart contracts (keeping information on chain). They will serve this crypto world differently. Pricewise, if bitcoin rises, ether will rise too. They're not working against each other.
Ethereum will go up in value over a long length of time. Investing in Bitcoin gets more results for the time being, Ethereum cannot threaten Bitcoin. |

I think that it could gain some profit though Ethereum cannot compete with Bitcoin at all since ETH is a young coin. |

I agree with that, ethereum is not even considered a strong rival for bitcoin. I think investing on long term is a very good idea because you tend to make huge profits from it. As the coin grows, your profit increases as long as the coin in which you invested is stable and has good potentials.

Let me show you some NBA perspective on this, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency right? same as LeBron as the king of NBA. But here comes ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Wether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Mark my word. Trust the ethereum process!
NBA is not a cryptocurrency market. And also Ethereum and Bitcoin cant be considered as a players in one game. Bitcoin is completely diffrent Ethereum. So thats why flippening never happens  . |

It's true that both etherium and Bitcoin are doing really well in the financial markets all over the world and etherium popularity among the people all over the world is also increased a lot but still I don't think that it is a threat to Bitcoin as Bitcoin has way more users than etherium and is more in demand than etherium all over the world. |

This can be attested to by the fact it is not only dorminant but seems to control the movements and reactions of other cryptocurrencies. When bitcoin snizzes, every other cryptocurrency obeys. Bitcoin has one of the highest adoption rate as well as acceptance. It is also the most trusted and most recognised cryptocurrency. Its going to take a lot of effort from other cryptocurrencies to displace the King Bitcoin!
