It's really a bit expensive, but do you know shipping costs for Italy and delivery date?

Shipping cost to Italy will be around 20 Euro. I estimate that I have the devices ready for shipping in the next two weeks.

I'm sorry but I'm out: there will be 2 retarget of difficulty before they arrive, so probably the new difficulty will be near 800M.
At that difficulty there will be pratically no ROI at 600€ for 2 even if bitcoin price rise of 10% a month (that's means 3000$ by the end of next year) and difficulty slows down from 110% to 30% a month.

Can you guarantee they will all get 4.5 gh/s with proper power supplied?

I never owned any red/blue furies but I read a lot of people saying they were only getting about 2 gh/s on those when many were advertising 2.3-2.7 gh/s

Looking over your listing you say they are hashing stable at 4 gh/s but in your signature, and in the listing itself, you also quote 4.5 gh/s. I'm just wondering which I can expect. It makes a big difference when you start deploying in quantity...

Right now, I cannot guarantee it. But I'm expecting that they will hash with 4.5+GH/s. Currently, I have only 4 prototypes running and they are hashing stable at 4.15-4.35 GH/s. For the final version, I'm expecting that they are doing a bit better. This is why I announced it with 4.5GH/s.

When I get the devices from the fab, I will have to program and test each device. After that, I will know the real hashrate and I will update the specification accordingly. And then the sale will start. So, you will know the real hashrate when you are able to buy the devices.

I don't want to make promises which I cannot keep.

Appreciate the response. You are definitely more accessible than most board designers. I've been watching your competition, the Bi-fury, and saying that felipeo is difficult to deal with is a huge understatement...

Today, I got my assembled PCBs from the fab. Actually I tested 4 of them on USB 2.0 ports and they are hashing with 4.5 - 4.7 GH/s. I also measured the supply voltage of the Bitfury chip and I think they will do even better on USB 3.0 ports. Will order a USB 3.0 hub to test it.

Can anyone recommend a USB 3.0 hub?

nice development, I think lots of modern mobos can support 1.5A through bios or software anyway (through usb 2.0?) for the casual miner anyway, not sure how many you could run....

I can only tell you that the heatsinks are on their way and should arrive tomorrow. When I have tested the first 20 devices I will start selling them. So, keep your BTC ready for spending  .

I have something more interesting for you. Got a screenshot of bfgminer with 3 Twinfurys attached.
They are mining with 4.62 - 4.87 Gh/s after 10 hours. So, the announced hashrate of 4.5+Gh/s still holds.

We decided to make a small online shop to handle all the requests when the miners are ready for sale. We are working hard to get the shop in place as soon as possible.
Until then, you are able to register yourself with your email address to get notified when the online shop opens its virtual doors.  

And in the meantime, I have some other good news for you guys. Finally, I got the heatsinks and the miner is ready for testing. As soon as I have the first 20 units tested and the online shop is ready, I will put it there and send all registered users an email.

Wow those heat sinks look big. can you post some final dimensions? I've been looking around at hubs but its hard to know what will work without knowing the miner's width and the height of the heat sink

You are right. The heatsink is big. But has to be to handle the generated heat. I guess there are only a few hubs (if there are any) with enough spacing between the ports to use every port for the miner. This is the reason why I started to make a custom USB 1.1/2.0 hub with 7 ports each able to source 1A and enough spacing to use all 7 ports. Prototype PCBs are already ordered and should arrive next week. Will keep you updated about the hub if you are interested.

The bi*fury devices which are also 2 bitfury chips generate way too much heat to be passively cooled with their heat sinks. It will be interesting to see if this extra heat sink area is enough or whether a fan is still needed. If the latter, then there really isn't much point to the extra area.

My Twinfurys are working stable without active cooling. The heatsink gets hot (about 60-70°C) but that's ok I guess. Temperature range for ASICs is usually 0 - 85°C (consumer range I guess).
